Is it wrong to use heparinized tubes to collect the sample from a lavender top?
I wouldn't really see why you would use heparinized tubes, as lavender tops already have an anticoagulant (edta) 🤔

very well done! but always remember your safety use gloves.
She's using her blood
So? If your posting an educated video I would probably be professional
This is veterinary, not human med..
@@Jes-Lynne Great excuse for not using proper PPE
@@MasterIntubator Sorry you seem to disagree, but that *is* proper PPE protocol for handling healthy animal blood in VETERINARY medicine 🤷♀️
Simonis Mount
Gloves: Why exactly do you all think this is a must when working with healthy dog/cat blood? (rules different than when running human blood tests)
Zieme Isle
Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a great video, but where is your PPE????? Gloves!!!! ALWAYS GLOVES when working with blood, unless it's your own!
This is veterinary, not human med..
CovidImages need to be invested more than half19
Where are her gloves?! 😲🤦♀️
This is vet med, not human..
Why aren't you using gloves?
It’s not the same for the veterinary field…
@@destinymendez5145 It should be. This is no longer 1980s vet med. We have learned things which have led to 'best practices' and safety revisions
Damn lady put your gloves back on.
This is vet med, not human 🤦♀️
@@Jes-Lynne 😌 And Once Again The "Pink Curriculum" Has Failed The World.
@@DC_R I have seen this comment many times. In the 80's we used to think that.... 'best practices' have taken over. Plus think about it, you think you are immune to Lepto when you sliver yourself from a HCT tube? They make blow-out devices for this. Heck... use a toe nail clipper. Not to mention, you will eventually mar up the optics on your refractometer, or the plastic flap over time. Poor out dated technique that needs to be revisted.
