I just love how your tutorials are straight to the point and feels so Ray to learn. Thank you 😊
Appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
After scouring the internet for Davinci tutorials I vote yours as best. They are very clear and concise (One video elsewhere took a full 4 minutes to get to any real content and then there was so much extra verbage that I played it 1.5x speed...and still didn't make it to the end). Your production value is also top notch with clear audio and well matched levels.
I also appreciate your clear articulation. Its surprising how many videos include spoken word that sounds like some sort of mumbling (or shouting) that's still nearly impossible to understand.
I pretty much never "smash" the subscibe button, but I happily did so here.
Glad you liked it! We have several other DaVinci videos to learn from :)

For anyone interested in a better Sharpen within Davinci; Above that greyed out 'Scaling' set of bars, are tabbed settings and you can move over to the actual Sharpen section, which unlocks Scaling and then you can fine tune your deblur/sharpen with those bars.
Dude... Iconic suggestion. Thanks so much.
Liked and subscribed! This was EXACTLY what I needed. Noob auto focus mistake and this saved my video!
Glad it helped!!
THIS HELPED SO MUCH THANK YOUUU
Instant subscription because you’re so relatable and supportive! It can be very overwhelming and I love when someone just admits that! Thanks for the tutorial. I would love to see a Node video.(maybe you’ve already made one)

Merry Christmas! Glad it's helpful!!
So glad you showed how to sharpen THE EYES only
Happy TO HELP! 😂
Always used blur/sharpen to sharpen images ... until recently ...
Mid/details - "Mid/det" - bottom left on log wheels - seems to have a more subtle sharpening effect.
THANKYOU. Short and sweet but powerful tutriol. ❤
No prob!
This is a lifesaver!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much
This is great! the before and after are way different
Appreciate the comment!!
Hello. To apply and evaluate the sharpen, the ideal is to set the image to 100% (actual size) in the zoom panel. I also like to use the Mid/Set parameter instead of sharpen. But I never delved into the technical differences between them.
thank you!!!!!!!
A video for the notes would be very helpful. Nice video thx 👍
Great explanation thank you for that. Your suggestion for making a tutorial on nodes would also be greatly appreciated.
You’re welcome and sounds good!
Thank you so much! This was soooo helpful after recently switching from Vegas Pro.
No prob!

Appreciate the comment!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Very well done! Thanks!
No prob! Thanks for watching!
Can you make a tutorial about colour correction?
I sure can!
thank you
No prob!
Please create a nodes tutorial
We have one up! Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/4FDKZADjyxY/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
I've got a question - apologies in case I missed it. how do you sharpen an entire timeline at once, where there are multiple graded clips?
The issue for me isn't doing it shot by shot but when you have over 2k clips to apply the sharpening to, it easily becomes an undesirable undertaking
I wonder if there's any AI sharpening effects for Davinci Resolve... (thanks by the way!)
I find my footage of ppl to always be a bit soft. Good idea to mask and track
Glad you found it helpful!!
Hi! I love your tutorial! I’m struggling to get to know Davinci resolve, and I’m trying to apply tracking to a painting. I keep correcting the points and when I go back to the first frame of the clip, the points are in random places again. I’ve corrected them like eight times, and I am losing my mind. Any advice?
Quick question, which node would you sharpen? After your CST or before?
I recommend sharpening on the final node, so after CST
Really good video, thank you
I applied the tips you demonstrated in this video and for some reason, it caused the video clip to speed up (about 10 times as fast as normal). What could cause this?
@Alli and Will Hi there, I'm currently researching various types of thumbnail and video improvement ideas.
While looking at a side-by-side comparison, You can truly notice the difference.
My question, for you or anyone in the comments, is whether this sharpening tip
would be beneficial for a 3D avatar?
why after I enter the circle the color changes?
Which is better, using a Blur node or using an Effects node called Sharpen?
Cheers.
The original sharpen effect does it to EVERYTHING, the entire shot, which is not ideal, so that’s why I’d recommend doing it the way I show in the video
When I get to the Window it always makes a mask and high lights the selected area but the rest is dark. What should I do?
Didn't really work for me
L-plates on here, a tutorial on nodes please.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I bet your eyes can see in 4k 60fps now
Seems like the video broke around 4min... But audio was fine?
Just checked. it works fine! Seems to be just your internet. Hopefully it's temporary!
It takes a bit more setup, but the preferred way to sharpen is to the luminance channel only not the color channels. When you sharpen based on color information it makes things look strange. Example here ua-cam.com/video/fHii3WqoaUU/v-deo.html
i can not follow any of these resolve videos. for a beginner coming from final cut you guys go way too fast. not good!
It’s impossible to please everyone. Some people complain videos are too slow, some too fast. We decided to teach at this speed because UA-cam provides the playback options in the video player to speed up or slowdown the video by 2x, and you can also replay the video or skip back as many times as you want. It takes many hours to make these free tutorials. Imagine if people just didn’t make any tutorials for others to learn for free?
@Alli and Will yes very true, change can be a little frustrating. thank u for your efforts. ☺️
Thank you
No prob!
