She's become a icon and she's aware of it. A truly honest, mature and inspiring interview with a true artist. only after a few seconds you can easily notice that she is very aware of the whole creative process. I love Roisin and hope to see her soon in Warsaw
Róisín has such a caramel voice, you could almost listen to her talking about anything, her heart and mind are flowing through to take it even further.
The record is flawlessly breathtaking! Favorite tracks: 1. Uninvited Guest (it sincerely made me cry. It's emotionally flawless and funky all at once.) 2. House Of Glass (I already have visions of this video and how fierce Nd ethereal it can become.) 3. Unputdownable (The most glorious and uplifting chorus, between the vocals and music. It gave me goosebumps!) 4. Exploitation (It's fierce. No need to say anything more.) 5. The rest of the record. Been stuck on repeat, from start to end. Thank you, Róisín, for your Art and gift of song and voice. My favorite Artist for life! 💖💖💖
very graceful about her position currently. with the release of Overpowered there was a lot of mixed positve and negative energy , you could sense the label was dabbling as it went under (EMI) and the fans were just crazy wanting her to succeed. The fans really wanted her to work with Eddie and felt like he was home to her, really wanted her to command her presentation and nod to her fans without so much struggle and above all else to be intelligent and a bit unexpected. I haven't heard the album yet only the two released songs and I'm just watching the reaction in various media and love what i am seeing. She really can do anything she wants to and seems devoted to music and art, even dressing herself down to establish the character of the album's narrative center. I think she could indeed play Dusty Springfield if someone had a package that was well scripted and ready. Unfortunately age is going to keep shifting a timeline of a Dusty story against a lot of actresses. I urge anyone holding a project about Dusty to court Roisin and challenge and entice her into the role. I have always believed she could do it . Springboarding it from a great fan reaction to this release is something i'd do personally had i the power....
***** one more thing: if her fans are not politically motivated to discuss her themes, then I feel she is failing because i expect that of all great artists : to make us think and exchange ideas. so don' t JUST dance and don't JUST listen. talk to each other and try to understand your world and not let anyone take it from you. that is a big part of her message and always has been as far as i can tell.
The compositions of 'Moloko' were remarkable at it's time and it's professionalism must have 'rubbed off' on Róisín - as after 'doing nothing' for almost a decade, the latest album appears to be _so_ polished - as if 'nothing happened', indeed... Remarkable. She's a 'stage performer', but arguably a significantly more talented director than singer - which the audience would have never experienced if not for 'cutting ties' with 'Moloko' and 'mulling over' other substantial things - like family.

spot on! great album.
fierce? i'd rather hear 'let me know' than this dreary melodramatic drug-addled experimental stuff
