Fantastic video and great concept! Mike is always a pleasure and Kush really played his role perfectly. But his ability to talk through his process and explain why he's making his chefy decisions is really entertaining and intriguing.. And he had really great banter with Mike and felt much more like a well-informed colleague who wanted his friend to succeed, rather than just a prankster. Well done both, and please make more of this style of video, cheers!
Im glad they brought kush around to the front of camera. Hes a delight and knows how to cook. We needed some sarcasm and mischief without james around.

That was fun. It reminded me of cooking with a couple of mates of mine. We're all pretty decent in the kitchen & it was fun seeing our different takes whilst using the same ingredients. Would like to see more of these.
Great idea, very enjoyable too watch. I'm glad Kush seems to be more and more comfortable in front of the camera - it's great to watch him cook and he has some nice pieces of advice (and also a different sense of humour, another value added). At the same time Mike brings the uncertaintly and slight messiness of a home cook, which makes it really easy to empathise. I'm always happy to hear their final remarks - how both chef and normal can praise the efforts of the other one and humbly accept the truth about the areas needing some improvement. It's also very useful to see that some technique does make a huge difference for a dish - so it's worth going extra mile!
Great video! The Sorted of old but modernized! I love it! Fun and entertainment combined with a mixture of specific and general cooking tips from a trained professional :D
I like how the video showcased Kush and Mike taking the same steps, with different technique-like Mike fumbling the skins off the garlic vs Kush pounding them with the knife and being done with it. Nice to see the parallel to see what to emulate
Too be honest, I don't think you guys do "sides" very often, because you focus generally on making an entire meal. What about a Chef vs Normal for some basic side dish, like French Fries. Something that is specifically made to be served with something else, or as a snack food.
It’s Kushtastrophe vs Huttlestorm! Everyone should be on high alert and of course we’ll be rewarded with face journeys. Also, so excited to see what they come up with! Happy Wednesday to SortedFood HQ and the Community!
I love warching Kush cook and him explaining what he's doing. It all sounds so straightforward and joyful! Bringing him on screen has been a fantastic move. There should be joy in food. I wonder if Mike would have done better without the pressure of being compared to a chef. He's capable of better, but we also know he needs a lot more time to work on his improvisational cookery skills.
love to see Kush 100% comfortable in front of the camera in a professional way, I mean we already knew he can go crazy Kush in front of the camera blowtorching everything, and we love it too, but it's nice to see him cook and explain everything so efficiently and interact with mike (daddy grip Michael)
Love seeing how Kush used the extra ingredients to make more elements on the same dish, it made the more interesting. I'd never think of that as a normal, I'd just keep them for later for another day.
skill is not the factor that is differentiating them, it's experience. Kush can visualize the fish he likes to eat, "small fish chunks, deep fried not shallow, chopped cabelonero..........". Kush then improvises by adding he *wants to eat*, carrot puree, fried egg. Mike panicked and was used to planning ahead with recipes, not thrown in with only words. He couldn't make out what he wanted and resulted in him doing the bare minimum following the words, chopped fish into whatever size chucks, need to fry so let's just use the least amount of oil because I don't wanna use too much, cabelonero whole cause why not. There was a time where he improvised when he added the fish sauce to it. But he punched himself down cause it wasn't in the words, so he felt like he cheated. contras that to Kush's reaction, he was so happy and surprised Mike had such a good idea, and even implied that he would have done the same if he knew there was fish sauce. This overview is in hindsight and not trying to throw shade, this experience is very had to explain to someone unless they either experienced it or watched it themselves. I applaud sorted for having such a good video idea. But feels as though they didn't explain it well enough. If Mike or the people who watched this not only take away the surface lvl of the video, which was that Kush dominated Mike. But also learn important it is to "visualize and confidently take steps towards" the end goal, if he did, I'm confident Mike's cooking will be elevated at least two levels about Barrie and Jamie's.
Another thing i really like about this video is how it's not got the time pressure so mike can really do relatively well - with the stress being the obtuse instructions not time pressure

I thought it would be fun to see your approach to it since it has a history element as well for Ben. Its a Canadian dish called Rubaboo, also known an Pemican Stew. so glad Kush has joined sorted... and that he finally stepped out to the light in front of the cameras. He is a great addition! Quite a character (a bit prick sometimes - which is always needed)... and a great chef! We need to see more of him
I really enjoy Kush's sarcasm 😂 his food looks beautiful too!
Fantastic video and great concept! Mike is always a pleasure and Kush really played his role perfectly. I'll be honest, when Kush was first being slowly introduced to the channel, I wasn't sure how I felt about him because we mainly just saw him trolling/pranking the others.
This is cool because Kush gives little tips of what Mike could have done differently and explains what and why.
Im glad they brought kush around to the front of camera. Hes a delight and knows how to cook. We needed some sarcasm and mischief without james around.
I love the way Kush talks about how he cooked to Mike. It's really pleasant!
I love these. I love the contrast, which helps me learn better what's missing.
Need second part for the "serie" couple of months ago: Kush cooking from Mike's left overs like Ben did with Barry!
I would absolutely love to see something like this with mush doing more teaching. He seems like a natural at it! I’m guess that’s partly what he does behind the scenes anyway? Great video guys!!
I love the grin Kush gives when he says something cheeky
On thing I absolutely love about Kush.
He's playful, he can be chaotic, but when it comes to them having a discussion at the end, he's so helpful.
I just love Kush. He's kind and savage in the right measure. Plus a wicked sense of Humour.
It’s Kushtastrophe vs Huttlestorm! Everyone should be on high alert and of course we’ll be rewarded with face journeys. Also, so excited to see what they come up with!
Happy Wednesday to SortedFood HQ and the Community!
happy wednesday to you too 😃
@@samslife8073 Thank you!
Kush on camera is awesome. Brings a totally different personality dynamic to the boys.
Loved this challenge, loved to see more of these styles. Be awesome to see chef vs chef or normal vs normal
This was a great idea for a video, Kush getting so much more confident with the camera too!
Great format! Kush just sizzles on camera. SO much sass!!
I think this is the perfect format for Kush! You really get to see him in his element. Incredible!!!
Kush is a really great teacher, he doesn't make you feel like an incompetent fool, and if he has a harsh comment, he tempers it with humor.
love to see Kush 100% comfortable in front of the camera in a professional way, I mean we already knew he can go crazy Kush in front of the camera blowtorching everything, and we love it too, but it's nice to see him cook and explain everything so efficiently and interact with mike (daddy grip Michael)
also please don't become Barry leaving the hobs on Kush, we have enough panic with one of you
To be fair to Mike, finishing a dish at the same time as a professional chef is pretty impressive!
Love seeing how Kush used the extra ingredients to make more elements on the same dish, it made the more interesting. I'd never think of that as a normal, I'd just keep them for later for another day.
I really wanna give Mike a big hug - what a good effort! (don't let these chefs get you down!)
skill is not the factor that is differentiating them, it's experience.
Thanks for yet another Sorted video! I was recommended a video by a friend recently because I'm Canadian. I thought it would be fun to see your approach to it since it has a history element as well for Ben. Its a Canadian dish called Rubaboo, also known an Pemican Stew. I don't know if I can leave a link but the video is called "Rubaboo - Pemmican Stew of Canadian Mounties" by the UA-camr "Tasting History with Max Miller". Thanks again for the video and all the best!
Just watched Max LOL
We need a Sorted/Tasting History collaboration and soon. That would be so fun!
Brilliant concept. Another great one would be each team member cooking for all the others. Or Kush and Ben trying to recreate LiZiQi recipes.
Would love to see the chefs recreate a LiZiqi recipe. She’s amazing. Her videos are for the soul as much as anything else. So calming and incredible. Love the woman ❤
Sorted video day is my favorite days of the week! Thank you, all of you, always!
Mike is SO self-deprecating. I love him.
I just absolutely love kush!! He's such a good addition to the crew!
love you guys so much, only hope you guys all the success and love!
Need more of these vids, Kush and Ben against the normals in this format! Please!
