    Finally I find someone in the faith that recognizes that thru him all is created. I immediately subscribed. I've just begun this form of art and progreesivly getting better. So much, I'm starting to get requests. I am in recovery and has found this passion to be very meditating.
    Thank you.

    Wow! Those coaster Are Awesome. I've been pouring for decades.. literally... but, never thought "ceramic coasters" ... I've done Alcohol ink, and oil, and Simple acrylic brush paintings on tiles... but, for some reason, Never poured on one... I like that, you poured them individually, and. You can Still see they are a "set"... I see that lost when many try to do a multi pour, individually... I Really do love your work!

      I want to surprise my sister with some new coasters for her dining room. The colors are going to be. Gold metallic,red,black,white, ivory and a-little yellow. Should I paint the tiles gold?

    • @influentialolive
      @influentialolive 6 років тому

      @@sarahpogue8201 I believe she pre-coats for 2 reasons, 1. The background isn't going to leave white space, and 2. The paint moves easier. Odds are, she didn't see your questions, because they posted as a reply to my comment...

    I don't know if you see comments after a year. But just wanted you to know that I love this pour on the coasters. I want to make some like this but have failed miserably. After watching this several times, maybe my paint is too thick. Anyhow, I sure love these tiles and the colors.

    I love the way these turned out! Beautiful work! I'm thankful for your tutorial as well, it is easily followed and nicely delivered in a timely manner. I am hoping that you could tell me the artist and the name of the first song on your video, the violin was lovely and something I would enjoy creating to. Thank you for sharing your inspiration! I love your name as well, it reminded me to believe in what God has placed inside for me to do. I lose that confidence being a beginner to exploring my artistic side so late in life! ❤ So thank you! ❤

    Beautiful! They look like wooden roses.
    It wouldn’t bother me if you did a little brand promos before or after especially if it’s something you are using in pour. When other UA-cam artists are promoting it is easy for them to just refer them to the product and description with their link to Amazon. Since I use Amazon frequently that doesn’t bother me. But I might not get it there if it is cheaper elsewhere!

    Gorgeous. Have you had any problems with using resin on the paint even though it hasn't cured for several days. Most of the artist say the let the paint cure for a couple weeks before you add resin just curious to know your results.

    I keep coming back to watch this video. Love the color combo. Question, why did you spray paint the tiles first?

    • @WoodworkingPaintingInFaith
      @WoodworkingPaintingInFaith  4 роки тому +1

      I'm glad you like the video and the outcome of the tiles. The reason I spray paint my tiles before pouring on them is because tiles are extremely smooth and when you pour on something like that the paint can peel and bubble easily since there is nothing for it to adhere too. By spray painting it you are giving the acrylic paint something to adhere too so you will have significantly less bubbling and peeling.

    Can you use these for hot coffee/tea mugs without them stickning?

    • @WoodworkingPaintingInFaith
      @WoodworkingPaintingInFaith  5 років тому +1

      The resin i use is rated to 120 degrees. But I have noticed no matter what type of resin you use you will always have a problem with glass sticking to the coasters a little. It's most common with coffee mugs with pourous bottoms.

  • @erikamoore1095
    @erikamoore1095 5 років тому

    When I use the floetrol it seems to lighten my paint colors? Do you ever have this problem?? Also by using the Krylon sealer is that ok to seal with if these coasters might have a hot cut of coffee on it ?? Wasn’t sure if it was heat resistant

    • @WoodworkingPaintingInFaith
      @WoodworkingPaintingInFaith  5 років тому

      The floetrol can lighten the paint a bit, but I have never had a drastic change. The krylon spray Lacquer is just a sealing coat, you will have to use resin to make the coaster heat and water resistant. The resin I use is heat resistant to 120degrees. Coffee mugs will still stick slightly even after cured because of the pourous bottom.

    Do you think that using a marine-grade polyurethane would work as well as the resin for sealing them? I don't know if you've ever tried it or if you know there would be some kind of reaction with the flow medium, but I am more comfortable using poly than resin and I'd like to make sets like this myself for family members.

    • @WoodworkingPaintingInFaith
      @WoodworkingPaintingInFaith  6 років тому +1

      Hi. I have never used it before. But I don't see why not. My advice will be do one coaster as a test before doing a whole set.

    • @gailwatson8423
      @gailwatson8423 4 роки тому

      I would imagine that the resin gives it a much richer look and would add depth, making a more professional quality. But the other way might be quicker.
