I’ve only played this game for 6 months or so, but as a controller player, I feel like this update is going to make things really difficult for me. I feel like I already have a difficult time being delicate on controller (for throttle and brake). I know this is a skill issue- but I ain’t got time to get good. I just wanna have fun, any other controller players agree?
I would argue that this update has made me faster as a controller player. Yes more delicate inputs are needed but I dropped over a second on my Spa time after the update. Feels like the car can actually turn now.
I would say any changes makes handling a bit more challenging, for everyone. I personally can still have a lot of success with a controller, frequently laughing at people spending ridiculous amounts of money who think they can buy pace! it's just something that you need to practice and with time you can certainly find the fun you're after. Anyway, you don't need to be fast to have a good race, just be clean and respectful and those can be the best races. It's no fun obliterating the field if you're not having any races side by side another player who you know can give a respectful drive. I know it's probably not what you want to hear but stick at it and with time you'll get there. It took me 2 years of playing very regularly to get anywhere near some fast people while others who were similar skill levels as me at one point or another blitz past my pace even if they're using a controller. Just keep racing and over time you'll get there.
MORE understeer? Ugh. EDIT I finally tested it and I dont think so! You need brake a bit earlier and with less pressure but my test car AMG GT3 at Spa just over rotated on entry 😮 Finally, good job PD.
You kept saying theres now reduced grip on the racing line in the wet. But the patch notes dont quite say that. They say "reduced grip on the racing line in wet conditions..HAS BEEN ADJUSTED" So theres already a reduced grip effect, its just saying that already existing value has been adjusted. It doesnt actually say whether they gave it more or less grip. People are saying you can now still use the softs in inter conditions, which might mean they actually increased the grip on the racing line. Look forward to more testing on this.
They could rework the downforce or aero model since some cars are too grippy compared to their real version, and maybe the gt40 mk2 with the older versions of some tracks like le mans, spa, monza with the 0 and probably hokenheim the current and "banned" version
I'm just a bit nervous about tomorrows Manufacturers cup being at a track like Autopolis. I've tried getting a similar or better lap time, but I'm always at least half a second slower. Plus before this update I could complete 10 laps of Autopolis in the Suzuki Gr3 without ever slipping out, now it just takes 5 laps. Especially the big braking zone before the endless turns tends to put me out whenever I try to go for the inside line.
I don't know what I did to the M3, but every time I start a race it turns hard right during the countdown, tried on a few tracks, set races and quick races, does it on every one of them. No issues with it stock, very weird bug! That aside loving the update. Handling feels a little unpredictacble while I'm still figuring it out, but slower corners feel a lot more settled and jumps don't appear to result in the big crash every other time.

So far , i feel physics feels real good , need to be more precise on placing the car , and i love that , no doubt it feels more difficult , i'm still waiting for Midfield Raceway though
I played the game for the first time since the new physics update patch last night and it's certainly changed the game, although I'm not sure if it's entirely for the better! It's certainly made the cars more lively and responsive, but maybe too much! In particular it has made the rear wheel drive cars trickier to drive, without slowing down the NPC drivers! Having to be more careful, i reckon I'm at least two seconds slower per lap... So we still have to make up often 40 second gaps in five lap races with NPCs as said, still going at their old pace! All in, we probably should have had these physics and this handling model when the game released, with slower traffic, but changing one without the other doesn't feel particularly fair! 😯😀🤘.
I can’t tell if I’m trippin but the quality of your videos are getting better and better, especially since you’ve come back from the break. Great video keep it up bruh !!!!!!!!!!

I noticed that the curbs on the last chicane at Spa can upset the car a lot more often now if you take too much of them. I tried taking them the way I used to and my car kept bottoming out, which would really screw up my entire current lap and the run to start the next one.

Man as soon I tried the new physics update I thought to my self damn I’m glad I got all gold last week
Also to reach gold on S-10 you need to be 1.5 sec faster than before the update, licenses globally became harder 💀
bro why tf they doin this to us 😭 i've driven abt 700 miles only for this challenge and completely memorized the track and all i could get was a bronze
@@foudie it took me 3 hours straight to get gold on the last license couple weeks ago
I think they updated the license times with this update too along with the physics update, I'll have to go and check and see if that's the case
Where's the Ariel Atom or Lotuses?
Not sure but I'd love to see both in GT7.
It would be a dream
back in March a guy who sources cars for PD/Sony was asking on the Lotus Owners and Enthusiasts facebook page for Elise S1 and Europa candidates for potential future inclusion. So one of those marques could be coming.
I would also like to see the Caterham cars fire 7 sp300 etc
in tokyo xtreme racer drift 2 usa version on the playstation 2 a hidden gem that would take a road track then if you want to rally they would remove all or most and some of the asphault to make it rally you could do this with any race game k
GT7 in its current form is not meant for controller players. We are at a severe disadvantage in every aspect.
I disagree!
Totally agree with you and I've been playing it for over 2yrs, seems like I'm starting all over again. 😢🤯

AI: "wtf....the pyhsics has changed..i have to learn the whole thing again"
I remember the eau rouge moment from the stream, tbf compared to before the update the kerbs are more sensitive in the rain for sure
MORE understeer? Ugh. EDIT I finally tested it and I dont think so! You need brake a bit earlier and with less pressure but my test car AMG GT3 at Spa just over rotated on entry 😮 Finally, good job PD.
Hopefully we get more eiger nordwand configs, ive heard it a fun track but i havent played it before
You kept saying theres now reduced grip on the racing line in the wet. But the patch notes dont quite say that.
They say "reduced grip on the racing line in wet conditions..HAS BEEN ADJUSTED"
So theres already a reduced grip effect, its just saying that already existing value has been adjusted.
It doesnt actually say whether they gave it more or less grip.
People are saying you can now still use the softs in inter conditions, which might mean they actually increased the grip on the racing line.
Look forward to more testing on this.
I wish gran turismo had point to point rallies like pikes peak
They could rework the downforce or aero model since some cars are too grippy compared to their real version, and maybe the gt40 mk2 with the older versions of some tracks like le mans, spa, monza with the 0 and probably hokenheim the current and "banned" version
I'm just a bit nervous about tomorrows Manufacturers cup being at a track like Autopolis. I've tried getting a similar or better lap time, but I'm always at least half a second slower. Plus before this update I could complete 10 laps of Autopolis in the Suzuki Gr3 without ever slipping out, now it just takes 5 laps. Especially the big braking zone before the endless turns tends to put me out whenever I try to go for the inside line.
hey steve can you play other sims as well?
like assetto corsa 1, acc, iracing? I feel they have good racing, and players
I don't like having to retune my cars going 2 seconds slower currently with current patch just to get back too lap times i was doing with 1.48 patch.
Eiger Nordwand is one of my favorite tracks. It had also a gravel layout over the mountains in GT5. I hope PD will add it in the future.
I’ve had that happen as well , but after installing full custom suspension with the ‘out the box’ changes to its geo.
Over eider it’s uncontrollable on any undulations…
@@griffin1695 It's really the only car I've managed to completely ruin with minor changes. I even took off the height adustable suspension and it's not happy. Can't take eau rouge and radillion going over 100kph for example. Thought it was just me being cack handed with the new physics but tried all sorts of road and race cars and managed (mostly) fine
I think braking stability changed for the worse
PPs also changed on some cars, for example the 959 is now impossible to lower under 700pp with racing tires
I remember this track from gt5 prologue. So glad it's back, such a beautiful track.
I’m curious, what Fanatec wheel settings are you using for your McLaren GT3 wheel? I feel with the new update, the GT3 cars lack steering from the previous update. Cheers!
I cant be the only one who is still disappointed with the car physics in this game
The replay controls (for the live events anyway) may be the most impressive thing about this update...Seems very geared towards eSports and they even seem to have added a new Telemetry widget(?) which reminds me pf some PC functions.
Can't wait to take part in some longer endurance races like what made Gran Turismo great in the past. Oh no wait we've got one lap of the Nurburgring against Sophy and a race track in a country that banned racing for 52 years... I'm unsure if we're being drip fed content at this rate, or water boarded with it.
why do they have to keep adding more understeer? it's already bad enough
4 wheel drifting on eiger with the wrc Impreza with a wheel feels so damn good.
My GT7 transformed into Rocket League, tf are Polyphony doing?
I don't understand why they can't just leave the physics alone. Everytime we get used to the physics, they change them again.
I’m glad you said that. My force feedback felt way different when I ran it
My g29 is a huge difference and I don't like it
All my fully tuned cars just bounce around under throttle
Just got a PlayStation for the first time since the PS3 so this looks like good timing
Check out nobody wants to die
So the comfort tyres are all visually the pilot sport 4s tyres, but even the comfort sport don’t grip as much as the real ones I find. Unless the suspension is playing up on some tuned cars.
Taken out in a Super gt video.... I've peaked.
So are all of our tunes no good now???
Nurburgring 24hrs, Sophy AI, at night, Formula car in cockpit view. Literally insane. Highly recommended though👍👍
I’ve just tried the small rim theory on my Huayra Pagani ‘13 on my favourite track and it’s undriveable so I don’t get it. The small rim thing might not be true?
Ah, the memories come flooding back, spent an inordinate amount of time here trying to drift a Ferrari 599 round in gt5 prologue...
That new track really was great to see huh? Well, looking forward to the next v-
The replay findings should be better, for sure. Especially with camera control and track cameras.
I noticed yesterday playing really quick.. it definitely changed
Excellent test of the new setup. It is taking some getting used to for me!
How much harder is to race a real car regarding how composed you need to be with your inputs? Is gran turismo for you adding a bit more "engagement" by allowing more subtlety, not necessarily difficulty? Just... random questions really. How's your experience?
Hello super gt if you didnt know you werde to See in the Gran turismo movie at the 27:28 minute and at the 13:17 minute but at the 27:28 Minute you Need to See up at the First List of the players let me know if you saw it and good evening everybody!
With a couple more wheels being added, im sure they'll continue to add more.
Some brands have little to almost nothing
The physics changes feel far more dramatic in a road car compared to the race cars. That new RUF is a great drive stock though :)
Definitely more challenging with a controller with these new physics.
So far , i feel physics feels real good , need to be more precise on placing the car , and i love that , no doubt it feels more difficult , i'm still waiting for Midfield Raceway though
ON gamepads the triggers on the pedals is now softer then before
I think the third person camera was finally sorted out as well
Did you have to update or change the fanat3c settings? Specifically the ffb
I did
i’m excited to play tomorrow,i completely forgot about the legend cars, but where did you go to make than 1m+ at the beginning?
Everything time I see a new sgt video. I fire up gt7!
These graphics destroy everything in existence that's a racer outside of the mighty drive club. Can't wait till they add raytracing and path tracing on track for the PS5 pro
I recently purchased a PS4 soley because of this game ( well im playing Gran Turismo Sport) and your content. Love the videos brother!
Lambo Gallard and Ferrari Scuderia are also in the Used Car Lot, for less money than the New car lot...
I like this track more than the GT6 version but I just think it’s a bummer that they got rid of the tunnel because it was my favourite part of the track, I just want the classics back like special stage route 11 / Tokyo R246 / Seattle / Seoul central / mid field raceway / Smokey mountain
Not gonna lie I hope they add new up to date gt3 cars, like the 992 porsche or the new BMWs. Anyway nice video !
It feels like they change the physics every fucking week
I noticed that the curbs on the last chicane at Spa can upset the car a lot more often now if you take too much of them. I tried taking them the way I used to and my car kept bottoming out, which would really screw up my entire current lap and the run to start the next one.
I also noticed at spa in the long straights cars are much faster, at least by 10+kph
Dude, Eiger Norward feels so much for like a WRC track
The Real Flying 7 simulator is back😅😂
I'd love for them to add Silverstone or the Goodwood hillclimb again!
Idk, imo at least as much understeer or more. The cars still never get neutral, like I'm leaning on the front end. It's maybe a bit more organic feeling, but the understeer.
They should stop messing with the physics. It throws out all the old lap times every time they change it
Maybe put more focus into a better penalty system and introducing reporting dirty drivers. Those are the most important updates needed.
no way!! I’ve been waiting for the E36 to be added to the game. I’m hyped!
You should try the Rally tracks with the new physics update :D
It felt much worse and less responsive than before
@@antonee_m I agree, I feel a bit slower
