Could you please do a lesson like that on the 9th chord 10th 11th and 12th Court I guess I'm not really for sure what I'm talking about but I think it's called extended chords I think that's what it is called, or something like that, just to help understand them simply and clearly like you did in this video here with chords, thank you so much for your help.
That sounds like a great idea! I will get it in the queue.

Heyyyy...if scotty doesn't know what he's talking about, how come he's asking for that kind of tutorial ? did you understood the recent lesson ? and please don't get me wrong, i'm not making fun of you. i'm only asking how come your asking for 6,7,8,9,10th if you don't know what is it for ? Hi Scotty !!
Wow!! Your straight forward and simplistic style f teaching. Realy enjoyed your video and will watch for more!!! I am teaching my son bass, and we watch your videos together, and I always pick up some new approach to stuff I learned 30 years ago, and have found ways to play things I have always tried to avoid because I struggled with it!! The guys in the band have even noticed...So thanks and keep it coming !!
The 3 and 5 are on the same string though so you can only 2 notes ring out on the chord at any time. How do you do build major and minor chords using 3 strings?
Quick question. When you did the F sharp major of 135. You then pick up your bass and said that you were going to play the minor and you hit the same 135? That was confusing because if you take it down half step differently..Would you go up the fret board or down? Which in this case would mean hitting an open A?
Good theory lesson but do you have a video on how you're supposed to play chords, like do you play them together like guitar or do you arpeggiate them.
This is awesome and so are you mate!! I definitely had fun and I really did learn a lot from this so Thank you so very much man!! Much love and respect Bro! 💯💂❤
Lots of compliments on this video I see in the comments; but I have a couple of criticisms: 1) starting in F# to show this example was a mistake. G would have been better so that you could show the flat 3 for the minor chord without using an open A string (which also wasn’t clearly explained in this video); and 2) by definition, a chord is three notes at once. Therefore, if showing the 5 on the same string as the 3, it is impossible to play all three notes this way. This would have been better if shown further down the fretboard to leave room for the 5 to have been played on the D string. I left this video feeling like I was glad I had already learned some of this elsewhere.
Great explanation but surely most bass players don’t “play” chords like guitar players? Don’t bass players mostly play single individual notes at a time?
Question ? I've been experimenting with Drop d Bass tuning . Would you do a vidio explaining what that does to the number system when building a chord also if you accompany someone who's guitar is tined in open G do you have to change tuneings in a different way , also A tuning . ? ? ?
An cord is basically a series of notes joined together that when plucked or strummed, formulate the tone associated with it. With that said I’m not understanding how you can play the 1 on the E string second fret & then add to it the 3 A string second fret while at the same time playing the 5 which is on the same A string as well at the same time. Is a player suppose to decide wether they want to play one or the two notes mentioned here on the A string?
I have a question about drop D tuning . I play guitar and am learning bass , but I never se the topic of the corilation between drop D guitar to Bass scales . Is there a shape ? New subscriber !
i play b0th guitar and bass and its the same with guitar pentatonic scale shape can be use in any key. i also use parts from pentatonic scale from guitar 0n the bass l0l.

Thanks for the kind words. Super excited it was helpful!
Thanks for helping me with something I have been trying to know for so many years

That's what I was thinking I thought a chord had to have all the notes ring out???
You are a really good teacher.
Thanks for the comment. Really appreciate it.
Great video! Thanks
Thanks for this easy and simple to understand lesson. 👍🏻
Glad it helped!
Thanks so much, this is what I was lacking ❤

From what I gather the flat 3 would be open A also. The 1 and 5 stays the same, just the 3 gets flattened to the open A.
I noticed that too.
Thanks so much!!! Your presentation makes perfect sense!!!
Hi Buddy im from India, and crazy on learning to play the bass, your teachings are good, take care
Man i have this exact problem for months. You did a great job explaining it!
This is good stuff, thank you!!
Glad it helped! More to come.
Appreciate the insights. Respect.
Yes I did learn something on your video and I appreciate the information to help me to play my bass
Nice job.
Yea.. really I learnt..
Thank you sir
Excellent video simplified 👍👍😎😎

Great job a few minutes in your realized probably should’ve made the diagram in the key of G but good way to play through
I am a very beginner and thanks for sharing!
Glad it helped!
@@bsideguitar thanks a got it right

Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank ya 4 having me understand this constant talk 'bout 1 3 5 )))
Your a bloody good teacher. Better than that bloke Josh from bass buzz. The bloke just speaks too fast and don't repeat what he says
THANKS 10000000

On a major chord the 3 and the 5 notes are on the same string.
Yes but not exclusively. All notes live in every string so depending on which arpeggio or chord you are playing they are often not on the same string.
But you cant play 1 3 5 as chord as on piano, because 3 and 5 are on same string :(
You can omit the fifth, as many bass chords do, since they don’t tell you anything about the chord itself.
Its very didactic. Congratulations.
I get it but my hands will never be big enough to do that 😫

???! 😞
Ini bagus sebenarnya, tapi tidak mengerti bahasanya
