Thanks for this review. One of the main reasons I've held off buying it is not seeing real world reviews. Now I'm kinda torn on which size I should get. The medium size or the large size that you have there, for a 7 day elk hunt this fall.
I have the small 2800 one too and I love it for optics and for a carry on when flying. I honestly believe the 5500 would be enough for you just depending on how much heat you have. I went with the 10400 just because I would rather have too much room than not have enough. Thanks for watching glad you liked it.
It will marked as an oversized bag especially if you have it packed full. Mine fully packed weighed about 80 pounds. The dimensions alone have it marked as oversized luggage on a lot of airlines as well although some airlines have allowed it as long as it weighed under the 50 pound limit so I think it could be airline specific but more than likely it is oversized. The 5500 size meets the requirements for normal sized luggage and the 2800 fits as a carry on bag but this is a huge bag.
@@averageguyoutdoors thanks, do you feel the 5500 is enough for a fly-in guided moose hunt. Will be putting my backpack inside of the duffel as well as 4-5 days of hunting clothes, sleeping bag, etc.
Then yeah I do think it is enough. I am taking the big one with me this year because we are doing DIY moose hunt this year so I have 2 weeks worth of food and equipment to bring. It will definitely be big enough if you take a carry on as well because most airlines let you take a backpack/personal bag free of charge as long as it fits under the seat in front you you
I kinda like thinking just as a weekend getaway and throw in back of truck if i want without things getting wet
Of course this guy has wood panelling in his basement!!!! 😊

Definitely would like to see review after the hunt!
I will definitely get one made when I get back
Hi @Average Guy Outdoors, will this bag fit under the normal size regulations for a checked bag using TSA (United States). Thanks

Are you taking your own food and camping/cooking equipment too?
@@averageguyoutdoors no, will not be bringing food or camping equipment. That will be supplied by the guide.

No real review on this bag. Thanks for posting!
That is the way I felt too. The only videos I could find were from the company itself. Glad you liked you
