....I can definetly say that over time the ignition coil degrade and drop in performance suddenly after starting the saw following long spell of non use. I've theorised what happens . -- The biggest confounding hurdle is that spark was fine ten minutes earlier ,the saw ran for a spell then stopped , finally checking spark again as a last check although you know spark is fine you see it's not fine except it was okay maybe ½ hour ago by now . .It can only be the plastic insulation breaking down , it's one of these self destruct plastics like we see used on many Chinese products . We have shoes for which the soles perish away over time even if not worn ,we have tyres that start to crack just in storage not even installed on any rims . Looks like after years of slow perish that the final assault that causes the plastic insulation breaking down is a bust of high voltage for five minutes. Those Chinese tyres if you check them in water bath don't have any air leaks but they simply lose air by osmosis over one month though the whole body of the tyre. Are the tyres rubber or are they plastic these days. I'm thinking the crankcase seal might also be a candidate for self destruction now . What would it cost extra to simply use decent materials for the coils and seals ?.We know we can't use manufacturers spare parts so the saws become anchors .

.....you managed to decipher my comment which i see needs editing .it's not just ozito that have the ignition module failures , I have the aldi brand and baumr brand with failed coils , all are effectively new or less than an hour of work if they ever did start up except for two 2nd hand ones I ain't certain of . They worked good enough ten years ago ,unused for ten years, safely stored, some maybe half started and ran a few minutes to never run again . All are pristine, clean, unworn condition with good compression ( maybe I should accurately measure compression on two of them but I don't want to touch them anymore ) . I doggedly spent much time on the seven . I believe the different brands must all be from same factory . My shed was raided and all my top quality chainsaws and collectible ones gone .Theives didn't touch the Chinese stuff . I have seven as new Chinese saws that don't work ; better to pay three times as much for a quality non Chinese product is the conclusion from the evidence before me ..I'm suspecting a possible outcome caused by a failing ignition module on one aldi model is advanced ignition that'll cause pullback on pull-cord . I need to have this checked by unbiased specialists as I have an injury from the severe pullback .
We can understand use of less than top quality alloys and bearings and rings if a product is attractively priced but unreliable ignition modules that perish over time even when unused could be construed as sabotage .
