I am a bowhunter to the core, butI love doing well planned deer drives with family and friends during our blackpowder season they produce every year. Its a tradition and fun and a bit more light hearted and brings us back to our roots as hunters. Great videos Jake from your stomping grounds.

Ope! This is the epitome of Wisconsin gun hunting. I've lived & hunted in Wisconsin my entire life & these videos have done a great job capturing the essence of the Wisconsin gun hunt. I haven't gun hunted in years for many reasons, mostly lack of passion for it, & I now focus strictly on bowhunting & I can tell for you guys that you have a similar feeling but you still gotta love a Wisconsin gun hunt. I still go to deer camp for gun season & hangout just for the camaraderie.

I was raised in Missouri but I lived in Iowa for a few years. This reminds me of the deer drives in Iowa I was fortunate enough to be a part of. These guys hunt for meat and over the years they have turned "meat hunting" into a science. God bless the meat hunters. They are the heart and soul of the whitetail enthusiasts community!

Never been a fan of deer drives probably mainly because I’m not confident shooting at running deer, but if it’s legal in your state then I say OK.
We all need to stick together whether a style of hunting suits you or not. Be safe and have fun and put some meat in the freezer. Good video Jake.

Weather it’s a bow, rifle, shotgun or even private ranch no matter how people hunt or what people think it’s great to see people harvesting their own and knowing where their meat comes from instead of the counter at the local grocery store.

Nice job Boys! As laws are different for every state in our great Nation, I know some folks had concerns over the beginning of the video but as long as safety is the number one concern and shots are being well planned, then by all means , let it rip, but as you stated Jake, SAFETY with the shots Paramount!! Don't apologize for deer drives Brother...they are effective means to end when done correctly. Great job again!! Congrats to all!!

Reminds me of the times my uncles sent me and my cousins into the swamps to push deer on Thanksgiving weekend. More often than not us young guns would come out the other side and pour the water out of our boots while the older generation smiled and laughed. I remember breaking through the ice and plunging knee deep into frigid water, and jumping from grass pod island to island trying to avoid the deep spots. Thanks for the trip down memory lane THP.

It’s about “tine”🤪 I mean time! That doe was wearing a Kevlar vest! Just didn’t want to go down. Like my dad says those old bucks are shrewd! I seen a button buck crouch straight down watching a pheasant hunter go by in the adjacent field. I was in my climber watching and never forgot that. Thanks for sharing the Wisconsin gun season Jake, that was really neat watching and learning!!! Thanks and great job!!!!I really enjoy the late season hunts guys can’t wait don’t freeze!!!!!!!!!

I love watching this form of hunting! Deer drives have always scared me because there's a greater chance of someone shooting in a direction they shouldn't be shooting, but if educated properly it can be a very effective way to hunt! I live near Madison where there's tons of small hunting areas and the best way to have some success is to get a group of guys together and drive those deer!

Hey guys love the Wisconsin gun hunting videos we live in St Croix county and we do deer drives similar we just use the hills and bluffs to our advantage and as funnels , and gun hunting is all about filling freezers for us too , Archery is about getting close and and going after a deer you consider a trophy

Deer drives are my favorite way to hunt! We really only sit out opening weekend in the morning and evening and then do drives the rest of the time. It does get frustrating though when you're the only one moving deer in the area, because we pretty much stop seeing deer after Tuesday or Wednesday, but it's still fun.

Woodsmaster, classic deer rifle, I have one handed down and got no complaints. If someone has a problem with deer drives they learned they're hunting from watching television. To me the foundation of deer hunting is fun with family and friends. Elevating it to taking trophy bucks is cool, but if you think that's the point you're missing a huge aspect. This is another reason why the THP is so great, even when they're focusing on bigger bucks, they never act like they're above taking a doe, a 6 pointer or doing a drive. Fun always seems to be at the forefront even when their focus is on a wall hanger.

@@TheHuntingPublic It's a different kind of hunting for sure. When those dogs would bust a group of bedded deer, those deer would scatter and it would sound like D-Day. Great hunting. Nice buck in your area. Why is there a BIG HOLE on the buck, because the bullet hit the branch in flight towards the target and the layer of bullets was made as a blade. The same thing happened to my friend so it was not clear to him ok. Thanks for setting the video , best regards from Alberta Canada .🤙🤠🐺🐻🦌👍
