6:45 - From what I remember, there was some retcon statement since then about how the Tiamat that we see in Rise of Tiamat was actually just another Avatar of her, and her real body was in her palace in Avernus the whole time.
A pride of lion drakes would be viscous, flight, paralytic roar, intelligence of 6, and language- absolutely terrifying. Also I imagine egg hunters would mainly hunt lesser dragons like dragonnels, wyverns and lion drakes ( if they lay eggs) opposed to true dragons

My wizards master was an exiled Red Wizard who sought to permanently shapechange himself into a dragon using a silver wyrmling. In her backstory my wizard set the wyrmling free resulting in him being transformed into a silver dragon flesh abomination (cold instead of acid and a freezing aura effect), but also with the metal stats, spellcasting, and abilities of a Transmuter Wizard
Bestiary and Beastiary are both correct. Some older dictionary's will list both. Some will list one or the other. Depends on what country you are in, and if the dictionary author insists on latin origin pronunciation or what current speakers use. Got to remember that it is people writing and changing the "correct" pronunciation even if both are correct with current speakers of the language.

We got something similar to what you described with the dragonflesh grafting in Eberron:RftLW with the living armor, living gloves, etc.... magic items that become part of your body and can't be removed without magic.

Bestiary or Beastiary! My theory is that there's a encryption error that misspells words occasionally for copy wright reasons. Or some English word official in the past just didn't do thier job and slacked off.

Eh, the monster section was the best part tbh
My fav is Topaz dragon. FINALLY a orange ( some yellow ) as one of 5 main dragon. They gotta add+descibed officialy Gem dragonborns racial traits, Gem dragons breath/ resistances and bake it into the new D&D. Along with the new sub-classes. Also make it so your Drake Warden drake can be either chromatic, gem or metallic. If so I would be on the moon! Until then I have created a orange Topaz dragon with necrotic breath/ resistance, purple Amethyst Draconic bloodline sorcerer. Gocusing on necrotic, force and some utility spells. And my human ranger got an Emerald drake. BAM! Make it happen WotC! Officialy👍

@@infinitemind3719 the floating gem bits does that effect for me... Looks like plastic. The gemstone dragons from MCDM Stronghold & Followers are waay better looking.

It's pronounced Bees Tea Airy. You know, like the words.
As long as you know how it's supposed to be pronounced, you can choose to defiantly say "beast".
There is no “supposed to be pronounced” for words that evolved naturally. Just the way it has usually been pronounced in the past. And these days, the word has definitely evolved to often be pronounced like beast.
I'm super disappointed by most of the stat blocks in Fizban's, but especially the CR 30 ones. Maybe they were super lazy/safe with them because they know few people really make it to tier 4 in their games, but that's all the more reason they should have gone all out. Instead the great wyrms are TEMPLATES which are all big sacks of HP and a couple basic actions which hit hard. The avatars are little better, but a disgrace to the famous dragon gods, even if they are just meant to be lesser avatar incarnations. They they have like a handful of features, the cool ones locked behind mythic mode, and even counting those not many. Again, big sacks of HP and big dice. Same design philosophy behind the 5e tarrasque. I get they're going with simple and streamlined, but there's a time to keep things basic, and a time to have FUN. You'd think dragons of all things wouldn't be so mechanically boring.
I get 5e is super streamlined and errs on being beginner friendly, but if your players are fighting a tier 4 monster, they had better be experienced by then, and they'll be expecting a lot more cool stuff then "it hits you, next turn it tries to hit you again" just with bigger numbers. There is so much creative design space even in 5e that they can and should use, if not in early tiers, at LEAST in tiers 3 and 4.

Sadly, bout the bestiary thing. It is BESTiary. As a fan of the other pronunciation, it really saddens me to say. It's just how the word is pronounced. It seems to be a british-ish thing. I just say wizards adds an A, makes a new word and be done with it.

Ted's posted a poll on this a while back. Yes, it's bestiary. Most people still pronounce it beastiary - myself included. It's inconsequential since everyone knows what we're talking about regardless
