Bro, you deserve more views. But I guess there is a pretty small community around realflow. Your tutorials helped me A LOT. Keep it up. You are very skilled
Hi Dave! Fantastic tutorials all round. As a beginner you are the best Teacher I can find out there. Just wondering do you know about maya 2022 and RF connect? Cause I can’t seem to get it working or even loading
Hi Bryan, Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot. Looking at RF support site it seems they're finally saying officially that the plugins are no longer actively developed. That shouldn't stop you though, there are ways to get your sim into maya anyway. May I ask which renderer you are using? I might have some ideas depending...
Hey David, first of all I want to thank you for creating and sharing a fantastic series of tutorials. Probably some of the better, if not the best, realflow tutorials I’ve ever seen on the internet. I myself am a realflow, maya and redshift user and I enjoyed watching it and learnt some new stuff. One question that came to my mind is, did you find a way of using the velocity channel inside of maya while using an alembic file? That’s a problem that I couldn’t find a solution for over the internet and you mentioned you do have one in your videos.
Hello thanks so much for your question and the kind words. I haven't quite gotten around to that video yet as I wasn't as close to fixing it as I thought, I wanted to explain with a video if you like to check it out: ua-cam.com/video/2cdRIMFi4os/v-deo.html
Shirel, only a year late but... I've found a way now. Using the new bifrost graph it's possible to convert the velocity info from the alembic-mesh into a format that maya understands... Working on a tutorial. In case you haven't already switched to houdini :)
@@Davesplaining hey Dave, thanks for remembering !! Actually I switched to Houdini but didn’t give up on realflow, just using the right tool for the right task:) I’ll be more than happy for a tutorial explaining your method with the bifrost graph. Looking forward for this one, and many thanks again!!
Hi, Pal love the tutorials, quick question how can I control the splash, for example, my is going way to high Is it gravity-related or I'll need to make the object glide more shallow?
Hi Zivko, happy to hear you like the videos. I assume you mean Hybrido secondary splash? If so, there's both an interaction factor, and the settings on the splash object itself plays a great role too. You can add also multiple gravities and make them bounded so the higher the particle gets the more gravity, but generally I'd say playing with the settings on collider and secondary splash-object, have you seen this tutorial yet? ua-cam.com/video/Mt9fvXrD8Lo/v-deo.html
