@vibezdevandni not necessarily, but I do tend to prefer the TLC formula! I think that contrast in vocal styling or style of music can make a song/group more interesting! I love that XG will hit hard in the verses, then chill for the pre-chorus and chorus, like they do in Shooting Star. A band like Nirvana will do the same except in reverse. They'll go soft with the verses, then loud with the chorus like in Smells like Teen Spirit. My favorite, though, has to be the contrast you get from mixing reggae and ska with hard-core punk! You would think it wouldn't work, but it does! One of the most famous hard-core bands ever, was called Bad Brains. 4 brothers from D.C. who would play super fast aggressive punk, then follow that with a roots reggae song. I love that kind of shet! Not sure if you guys are into punk, but what about some hip-hop mixed with a little reggae? They're called the People Under the Stairs - Double K and Thess One from L.A. They were slept on when they came out in the late 90s. They deserve more ears! Check them out, guaranteed additon to your playlist! ua-cam.com/video/xynO-KIqpzU/v-deo.html
@vibezdevandni unfortunately there's not a whole lot of it out there. Snoop Dog tried Snoop Lion, but it was just meh. Lol! And sorry for the above long-ass reply. I had just gotten off of work, so I was puffin while typing. Next thing you know, its a whole essay! 🤪😁🤘
