He is awesome but this is such a different sounding band. Its not your typical metal guitar heavy band. Everyone supports each other and the song. Its a bit unique, everyone in this band is world class
That twice I've heard Sikth referenced today and it makes me so happy! I'm fairly sure I saw them back in the day, but I was very, very drunk. I love this track, as well as dillinger, sikth etc I also hear meshuggah, early Mastodon and all sorts in there, but there is no one quite like Jinjer. Are they my favourite metal band in 30ish years of listening? Very possibly. Cheers for the reaction chaps.
Good reaction to a very hard song to get into cause of the timeshifts and breaks. Its an "uneasy" sound, takes a while to get into. And yes, its the same guitar player. Cheers.

I would almost put Car Bomb in a category with Dillinger that’s not quite math metal, but I don’t know what it would be. It’s just too unique for me to lump it in with Mudvayne or a band like that.

I know a lot of ppl like it but to me its not even music... but I'm sure u will get ur wish and they'll likely do it shortly, I'll probably just skip it if they do cuz it definitely wasn't my cup of tea

Cloud Factory was metalcore. Their other records are a mix between prog metal, groove metal and tech-death. They still use metalcore bits sometimes but only for nuance.

If you want math metal, Car Bomb and Meshuggah are 2 of the best to listen to in that genre. Lights Out and Born In Dissonance
