Hello guys, I just made benchtop jointer using electric planer that can quick release so easy that you can use it as jointer or reguler electric hand planer
this time i'm using MDF board because it's straight flat surface and more heavy materials than plywood, so make this benchtop jointer more sturdy and stability when we used.
sorry about video duration that 20+ minutes because I want to show you every detail build step by step

Nice unit you built there. 40 years in the trades and I've been waiting for Dewalt to come out with a benchtop jointer, but after seeing this I sacrificed one of my Makita planers and built myself one.perfect for shaping extension jambs on doors and windows in older homes❤.
I have viewed at least 10 youtube videos, and this is the one I will build. Thanks for the easy follow instructions.

bro, coba buat yang posisi planner nya berada di atas benda kerja. jadi, susunan nya dari bawah ke atas: meja kerja, benda kerja, mesin planner. benda kerja tetap di dorong untuk pengerjaan nya.
meja nya atau mesin plannernya dibikin yang bisa diturun/naik kan, sudut planner nya bisa di ubah2.
ow.. seperti sistem thickness planner ya mas, okey nanti kapan2 saya buatkan designnya

Best DIY Benchtop Jointer I've seen, not sure I'm skilled enough to make it but I'm going to to give it a go, Da iawn i ti
On the last pass on the jointer you can see the stock in not flat on the tabel.
all stock after a run on jointer is flat and parallel 90 degrees and I haven't seen any problem with it

No I'm press the green button, because only the green button have that locking mechanism, red button don't have,

@@jannitert6576 I agree with additional 45° angle on the fence, you can make trunion for that set up
Or more simple way is you can make 2 fence, fix 90° fence and 45°fence

I'm sure someone else must have mentioned this, but you really need to add a safety guard over the top of the cutter head. Check out JSK-Koubou's version to see how he did it.

What brand of epoxy glue did you use on the aluminium plates?
Glue that I used on aluminum plate is ruber glue sir
@@jhonarief I found glue that is used to repair shoes and tried gluing a piece of aluminum to plywood. It seems to work well. Thank you.

What is the thickness of the aluminium plates
I use 0.8 mm , you also can also use 0.4 mm stainless plates

Can you get the aluminium plates of amazon and do you need to cut to size
For this project you dont need much, I think around 30cm x 50cm is more than enough
You can check the dimensions on the plans before you buy on amazon

Saya sarankan pake mdf om, sebab dia lebih padat dan lebih berat untuk alat kerja dibutuhkan kestabilan pada saat penggunaan, disamping itu mdf lebih lurus dan rata jadi cocok untuk alat yg membutuhkan tingkat akurasi
