I’m always so happy and amazed at the beautiful projects you teach us to do. I so looking forward to doing this quilt. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your amazing talent with us. ♥️
Great tip on where to place the line used to cut the strips. I always put it so the black line was just over the edge. I can see now that I was cutting it just a smidge to small - which adds up! Thanks.
Thanks for the great video ☺ I had such a hard time deciding which fabrics to use. I love the Linen Texture colors. But since I used the Linen Texture option last year, I chose the Lady Tulip fabrics, so beautiful. I loved all the blocks Edyta showed for block 1 on her blog. The scrappy block was great too. Edyta always makes me think of possibilities. Have a great week, everyone.
I'm so glad I stayed up late and got to see the start of the mystery quilt! Thanks for doing these and showing us how to quilt! I'm still working on the Montana mystery quilt but I'm eager to start this one too! Thank you so much! ❤️
So very grateful for your selfless mystery quilts and your amazing designs Edyta, thank you from the bottom of my creator heart for all that you do! Can't wait to see another LBQ mystery finish!
Thank you, can't wait to see how the solid color progresses. I love the scrappy version too, I haven't decided what colors I will choose, solid or scrappy .
I am going to make a miniature wall hanging using 3 inch blocks. I love doing miniatures. I may need to paper piece some of the blocks! Thank you in advance!
I would like to join the summer mystery. The solids in the video are so nice. For the lightest fabric in this block, is that the lightest fabric of the 8 fabrics chosen or is the light fabric the background fabric?
I hadn't realized I needed to buy a background fabric when I bought the bundle and now I cant seem to find a white-ish fabric for the background. Any thoughts on where I can find this? It's the Bluebird collection.
This is my first mystery quilt! I got the lovely fabrics shown from Launfry Basket Quilts store and they feel so nice! The customer service lady was so helpful. I do have a question on using the Best Press before starting cutting. Does Edyta recommend a light spraying and pressing or as some quilters do using a heavy soaking and drying method? I love all your videos. 😊
Hi Penny! Edyta recommends that we spray our fabric on the back side of fabric, letting the spray really sink in. Press on the wrong side as well. As a new quilter, she has taught me the importance of using Best Press ( or spray of your choice). My fabric used to fray like crazy and now, hardly at all (although you do need to handle your cut pieces gently after cutting). Have fun!
@@Thespottedswan One more question for you! Do you spray your backing like that as well? It seems like if you don't, fabric would shrink at different rated when you wash the quilt. Do you notice any shrinkage or problems?
Is a mystery quilt the same as a sampler? Samplers are not my favorite, I prefer a more planned and tidy cohesive look. I’m just curious. I don’t want to start something that I’m afraid I’ll be disappointed in my final project.
Hi Christi! Thank you so much for tunning in to get more info. All of our Mystery Quilt projects are full patterns that Edyta has designed to create a stunning and cohesive look. If you'd like, you can always wait until we get a bit further along to see if this project is for you. All of the information will stay up on our Blog and here and UA-cam. We hope this information helps!

I am looking for help with fabric allowances. Is the requirement the same for a lap and a queen? What do you mean by Large Bed Quilt?
How can I buy the Summer Mystery 2022 pattern? I did not see it to purchase. Thank you
If I make it scrappy; do the rest of the blocks (in next 8 weeks)need to be from the same fabric as the first 4 blocks?
I am wondering the same thing.
Always so fun and exciting!! Thank you! Love everything you do!

Is there a print pattern for the measurement on the larger size? I find written instructions easier.
if you do the 9 (nine ) inch block do you need more fabric? i bought the Trail Hike Bundle and I am thinking of the 9 inch block.
Hello Nancy! For the 9" blocks, Edyta reccomended getting qty. 2 bundles.

Can you list the Sku numbers for the Day Trip bundle?
We would love to assist you. Please email support@laundrybasketquilts.com
How much yardage do I need for each of the colors you used? I would like to try using non-print fabrics for a change.

Hello Lori - Great news! No need to prewash your fabrics :)
A lovely start to LBQ summer mystery. Would it be possible to make the font on the direction on the website darker? It is difficult to read. Thanks,
Hello Joanne - Thank you for your feedback. We will take a look at this.

Where’s my block?
I can’t find the download
I’ve decided to make the larger 9 1/2” block. Do I still cut 1 1/2 strips and make the panel as shown on video and trim them to 61/2 “ squares?
Check out Edyta’s blog. She gives cutting instructions for larger quilt. Need to cut strips 2” and trim block to 91/2”
