For everybody who has problems with the x button, try going to options, then controls, and then try to find key binds. From there, scroll down to the simple planes mod and then find "open inventory" or the aircraft interface. Click the key bind of the aircraft interface and change it from x to any key. Highly recommend using "k"

Love the Idea of Building Aircraft and Helicopters in Minecraft, as well as Ships, Tanks, Trucks, Half-Tracks, Armored and Scout Cars, Anti-tank and Anti-Aircraft Guns even Towed and Self-Propelled Artillery. Back when @Sbeev was Building the Essex-class Aircraft Carrier USS Lexington (CV-16) in 1:3 Scale and her Current Preserved Appearance, I came up with Dye Color Mixes for Leather Armor for the Various Uniforms of the Second World War. I'll leave them Down Below if anyone wants to try it out and end up on the Next "Daily Dose of Minecraft" video or something! Either way, this does make building a Charcoal Kiln or even a "Super Kiln" for Massive amounts of Charcoal necessary so that you can keep your Aircraft Airborne and be able to conduct even the most rudimentary of Airborne Assaults like in Normandy. Please note that I had to go onto the Minecraft Wiki page for the Dyes and Download the Image of the Chart to my Tablet just to save some time from having to get online, type it in the Search Engine and have to deal with the Page Jumping around on me even after the Images had loaded up. Hey, I’m kind of confused because I’m in survival 1.19.2 and I put a coal engine on my large plane and it didn’t show the furnace flames even light up and I have done everything right it’s just not working
Gonna get this right now for my minecolonies server, hope the config offers options for more expensive planes/rate of fuel consumption, amazing mod design, simple, no new unneeded ores, will go great on the 1:500earth 🗺
Does anyone knows what mod should I install to separate sneak and dismount keys? It's super annoying when I fly and accidentally hit the shift when I want to go down and I die because of the fall damage... This is the only thing that stops me from using this mod...
1.20.1 version. The controls for this feels pretty awful, which wouldn't be bad, if you could actually change them. In the settings, you cannot change the roll, which is a huge problem. I'd just set turning to AD and roll to left right, so I could fly normally, but I can't do that. Essentially, you're forced to fly with one had on WSAD and the other on the arrow keys, BUT then you can't fly in third person because your vision doesn't follow the plane... The helicopter felt absolutely amazing in the 1.12 version, and now it's pretty bad, just like the plane. Also, rocket boosters do not work on the helicopter.
I installed the planes in survival without any idea how it works and after 2 HOURS of figuring out how to make it work I did it but then it started flying and I crashed in the middle of the ocean
The the aircrafts can actually do an aileron roll and you can turn your head all the way back, this just makes dogfighting so much more fun, cuz now you can do all the fun maneuvers
There has been an update of this mod. From now on you need to press the up arrow to turn the engine on after you put coal in it! :)

@@Ahyee04 yeah i hav encounterd the same problem and its hard to control, currently the only fix i found is just to play on older versions of the mod

Its amazing to see how the textures for all the upgrades have changed I have to say they are all much better!
They also added a solar panel upgrade to yesterday, its only for planes though. Its also extremely slow to charge the aircraft battery.

Press either up arrow, or check configs and change it. I use number pad 8 and 2 respectively.
i installed mine, but I can't start nor fly any of the vehicles. the fuel is in, everything checks out, but it won't start

Try checking key binds? Best thing i can do is to change the interface button from x to any random key, like k
