I remembered having a poster of Magnum TA on my wall as a kid in the 1980s.

Nice to see Greg like hearing from him and hear about AWA i know its "boring" but it enjoy tat oldschool product. I don't think most wrestlers could cope like Magnum did losing his career while being on a sky rocket to the top than having it suddenly all end. Glad to see he is still alive and well.

Hey Greg, I wish you would do an episode about Hulk Hogan and how you found him when he was about to quit wrestling. He was fired by McMahon Sr. at the time and was not Hulk Hogan yet. How did you help him form his ring personality and how Verne and CBS were planning an April TV extravaganza on prime time with Hogan and Andre as the main event?
I know you catch hell on the internet about these revelation's so I was hoping you could provide background details about were Hogans career was at after Vince Sr. had fired him.
Also, very few people knew about the relationship Verne had with Andre and how he wrestled in the AWA in 1971.
The revelation that CBS was interested in a nationwide wrestling program with the AWA and how Verne was planning to make Hogan the world champion has never been told mostly because you and Verne had to sign deal memos and not reveal the nature of the agreementsis huge and would have changed wrestling history.
Just think, all the elements for a nationwide wrestling program could have happened in April of 1984 had Hogan stayed loyal to the AWA. And we already had relationships with the top talent that Vince used to create the modern WWF. (Hulk Hogan, Mean Gene, Bobby Henaan, Jesse Ventura, Iron Sheik, Larry Zbysco, Scott Hall, Curt Hennig and Rick Martel were already in the AWA)
With former talent like Andre, the Road warriors and Ric Flair coming home and Ricky Steamboat and Tito Santana what could have stopped the AWA then.
( And just remember, we had Eric Bischoff to help become the evil genius in the 1990s)
Love the show Dominic, Greg and Magnum.
PS- Love the match between the High Flyers and Strike Force 5 years before the WWF had Strike Force is a UA-cam classic and a recommended classic. Better finish than anything the WWF put out and Tito sells the dropkick like he has been shot.
