my main art goal is to enjoy myself more when making art, sometimes i catch myself feeling stressed if i dont finish it quickly or if i dont like it :)
For me this is so important! I'm also working on it. One way I work on this is to think of everything as a step forward. Even the art that turns out absolutely awful. Because I know looking back at it I'll be able to see all my improvement and I'm going to feel really good about myself. I also keep a sketchbook for "throwing up" my mind on paper. It's basically so I don't feel pressured and I can look back at it and feel good. Using ballpoint pen for studies and sketches you don't plan on finishing can make you feel free because you can't and don't have to go back and fix it. I hope you don't mind me sharing what I've learned. If you didn't want advice feel free to ignore me! :)

Thays 1000000% the most important thing. Constantly trying to overachieve is out, enjoying tourself in the process is in.
Lots of people seem to want to practice anatomy. Maybe you should make videos where you practice anatomy with us so to speak?
I hope so honestly too- cuz I also wanna get better at anatomy since a forgot a lot of the process during a year-long art block..... rip😓😓

Mine is to find motivation to draw, I've been going through some things. But I'm doing it! 🎨
making art may actually help you through. when you are upset or down, etc try drawing or painting. it may help take you mind off things and clear your head.
My art goal is to not tear out pages that I dont like. Even if I dont like them it will be a reminder that not everything I going to be perfect but it will remind me to try harder. And to fill up more sketchbooks.
That was my goal last year, and I achieved it. The best thing for me was reminding myself that every bad drawing was a step to a good one
Yes i always tore out pages and everyone in my family got mad at me for it so im trying really hard not to but sometimes i get holes in my pages for erasing or coloring the same place a lot

My goals is to sketch everyday, I used to do it but got unmotivated and stopped for a while, I want to practice every thing from anatomy to environments and learn watercolor and gouache

My goal for 2020 is generally to just be more productive. Do at least a quick sketch daily and start to actually finish my paintings. Going through my digital paintings folder the other day i noticed i haven't finished _any_ paintings for _OVER A YEAR_ . Like, NONE. ZERO.
Other than that, i also want to get better at painting backgrounds and environments.
Glad to know I'm not the only one to call improving in my art *leveling up* lol

My art goal for this year is to draw more animals and actually have color in my sketchbooks and not just a pencil sketch! I'll also try to draw more eyes and noses. And also draw realistically.

My goal is to improve a little in a lot of things, such as hair, face, watercolor, backgrounds and actually have the characters I draw doing something other that just standing there looking pretty lol

I just want to draw more in general and improve my current skills. I am an art student but I’ve noticed that now most of my art is revolved around assignments and hardly ever around what I personally want to draw. My art goals for this year are to keep on producing more art challenge videos so I can break out of my comfort zone!
One of my art goals the past few years was to improve my realistic portraits. And so far I've come a long way from where I've started! I'm not completely satisfied yet, as there is still much I can improve on. But I'm at a place where my portraits are actually looking more and more like its reference. ✊ So my goal this year is to continue to improve on my portraits as well as my fundamentals. And a lot of people have said this, but I also want to draw more environments. 😀

My art goal changed from 2020 to 2021 cause last year I almost didn't do anything... But 2021 I started 100% hope I can keep it up.. Since we're on quarantine...
I personally have recently gotten into acrylic painting and I've found that I really love painting animals and really want to get into realism. My goals are to do more studies and to be more open to learning and improving. I also really want to focus more on my improvement as an artist rather than comparing myself and my art to others. The only person you should compare yourself to is yourself.
I used to think finding an art style was very important lmao. Now I just want to experiment instead of sticking to a style since I get bored of drawing everything the same way? I don’t know why lately I’ve been feeling that way but I’m having a pretty fun time with it. That’s my resolution lmaooo. Experiment experiment and experiment without feeling like I’m inconsistent or something :)

For anyone looking to improve speed or anatomy, Id recommend checking out line-of-action! They have tons of photos and you can filter through them. Timed “class” sessions have really increased my speed and expanded my visual library, and you can choose how long the session is. Any longer than 30 minutes has one or more breaks built in ^^

I have all the fundamentals down, I know anatomy literally like the back of my hand, this year I hope to work more on finding a style I am comfortable working in, something that I like and also backgrounds.
I want to be able to draw characters in environments. I'm too used to drawing just a character without any background and I can make a landscape if i really focus on it, but blending those two elements together in a natural looking way is a challenge I'd like to take this year.

For my goals I want to keep working on my webcomic that I always wanted to make but was to scary to do so, and in the last week of December I finally started and already did 2 episodes and the response is great so far... other than that I want to get financial support for my art this year, because the struggle is real.. and just have fun drawing whatever I want, but also practice man anatomy because I only draw women lol... I also want to get a better understanding of colors, and how to evoke emotions with that... and finally I want to try watercolor because the only medium I use is pen and digital art, and with that in mind I want to have a colored sketchbook.
update: it's been 4 days and I've already bought all the supplies I need to try watercolor Yay!! this is probably the fastest goal I'm gonna achieve
I'm also starting a webcomic, I have the story but idk where I want things to go. Idk in what direction it's headed, I think I should've planned that before drawing the character design lmfaoo I'm only 13 but i have a lot of goals for my art. I'm obviously not gonna share my comic to the world until I've gotten everything figured out.

My goal is to draw more and try to not erase things from my sketchbook if they turn out bad. it might be an eyesore and take up space (in my eyes), but it's nice for me to know how I've progressed, so I think it's important that "bad" drawings stay.
When I was in college I was rather neurotic and would completely throw away tens of drawings or spent more time erasing drawings from nude model sessions and I had nothing to really show for my drawing class which gave me a below my average grade near midterm. I then had to start using drawing tools that YOU CANNOT ERASE. I would use conte or inks to draw with. I learned to draw quicker, focusing less on refinement in my sketches. It helped me get an A in my drawing class.

-Improve in drawing realistically
-to develop my art style
-Learn how to draw: hands, feet and hair
-Pay more attention to detail and use more detail
-Aaand learning how to work better with paint/water colour
I just want to improve in my weak areas. People. And to understand digital art. Then basicly just enjoy art.
This year I'm doing 3 art subjects for year 12 so that'll take up a looot of time but I really wanna get better at face composition aswell. I feel like im really good at drawing eyes, noses, ears, mouth etc. by themselves but it always looks funny when I just draw a face with no anatomical reference, unless thats just my style at the moment, cause it doesnt look bad when I draw without reference, just not what I know I'm capable of.

My goal for this year is to improve my vehicle detailes and shadings and Sketches and aim alittle higher and get better soon and ill try to use oil pastels to color my vehicles or someone give me some opinions what color i should use? Or stay shading for it? But anyways goodluck for everyone and me :)
I want learn how to draw complex machinery and armor. I plan on practicing and creating sci fi horror art and I think learning to draw detailed machines will help.
Improving anatomy is one of my goals too, along with filling one sketchbook, and making a 'complete' watercolour.
My sketchbooks lack cohesion and my doodles just seem to 'float' on the page so I want to work on tying them together with coloured backgrounds like you do. 😊

It would be awesome if you made more videos for beginners. I know you have done videos like "How to draw a face" or "How to draw hands", and unfortunately most art channels leave it at that. It would be so helpful to have lots of videos where you draw/paint simple pictures of people/animals/landscapes and make a beginners video out of it. Not sure whether you want to be a channel for beginners, so maybe it's not a good idea.

For this year I’d like to actually complete pieces. I’m in AP Studio Art and I’ve been so afraid of starting or finishing pieces for my portfolio. My teacher considers me one of his better students but I lack motivation. I want to be more abstract with my work instead of focusing on everything having to be exactly the way it looks. Watercolor is also a new medium for me, and I love how smooth and vibrant it looks but the unpredictability scares me. Maybe that’ll get me goin’.
My goal is fill up a whole sketchbook each and every month of the year....12 sketchbooks in 2020.

I got the email from intober creater to do inktober 52, or one complete ink a week. I want to commit to that, bit then i came down with a delusional fever and have been stuck in recover since. Its annoying to feel like i failed the first week, but my other goal is to forgive the things i cant control. So next week ill try to continue forward.

I forgot to say that also want to stop thinking that I'm wasting time while doing art.... since art is not my career and I'm graduating from vet , I often feel like I should be studying not drawing or whatever... and all of that makes me insecure, and it's a endless cycle of anxiety.
