The original 1990s Blade film is still one of the greatest comic book adaptations they've done. Far superior to the more bland and childish superhero films that are made now. Wesley Snipes was perfectly cast.👍
Blade explained it in the movies quite clearly that he is a daywalker/ half vampire. He isn't effected by sun light while at the same time is extra strength when it's night time.

However I didn't know that morbius had anything to do with blade. Which they failed to reference that in the recent sony movie as well. Maybe in the old TV show I may have saw it but I doubt I can remember that from the several adaptations.

in the blade tv show (which is canon to the films), it was shown that blade can actually turn people into regular vampires from his bite, since his saliva still produces the enzyme that turn people into vampires. In the show blade was capture by his childhood gang the bad bloods (which is where he got his tattoos) cause blade bit them all and turned him into vampires, so yeah, his bite would still turn someone into a (full) vampire, and not a daywalker

Blade is neither undead nor does he have low body temperature. Blade cannot convert others into vampires etc. He is simply a different creature from them.

In an alternate universe of my head cannon blade still becomes blade Hunting vampires because a vampire killed his mother, instead in this world the only vampire powers he gained was speed, agility, and all super senses. No blood lust no blood high. He is not a vampire. When he studies his blood, the lack of vampirism reveals his x gene. An Xgene that would suggest he always had one originally. When he is bit in And turns into a daywalker, its his xgene adapting to the vampire invading dna. In most universes (99%) he turns into a day walker, already one of a kind, but in one particular universe he is pure superhuman effectively a stronger immortal and would become in that universe one of the strongest heroes on the levels oh cap. Completely one of a kind across the entire multiverse

@stactionsmedia3318 I'm aware of the backstory change in the 90s but due to Deacon Frost feeding on Tara the mother of Blade/Eric, caused him to be born with certain qualities, which made him more vampire than mutant but he didn't get all of the superhuman qualities until Morbius. Even though Blade wasn't fully turned and not a Dhampir in the classic sense, you can't deny he is part human and part vampire. Even though it's not in the same way of a Vampire Hunter D sense.

Sunlight doesn’t burn blade because he doesn’t have the genetics of the vampires weaknesses. The genes that are their weaknesses is still human DNA. Instead of being effected by sun he remains to keep his melanin and everything that keep him human while also gaining the vampires genetic / supernatural strengths. The mix basically gives him all their strengths and none of their deadly weaknesses and allergies/symptoms besides the thrist. The thirst is the only thing that remains. He gains their speed, strength, wall crawling, reflexes, agility, and accuracy/ supernatural vision. I just believe it’s tuned up. So he’s like 25% stronger, faster, etc than the normal vampires.
wasnt it stated in the movies that vampires also age just allot slower all vampires can reach arround 400-500 years but they all die eventualy the only vampire that is inmortal was drake,maybe the comics are diffirent but thats what the movies say. i know that in the comics dracula and his offspring are inmortal but am not shure that goes for all vamps.
Something like that in the lore I've heard also. They have to be what's called "quickened" or so. They go into like a hibernation like state. Like in Queen of the Damned, where they become petrified like statues until someone awakens them. Even in Underworld this was the case with elders. The blood awakens them or so.
I think I would much rather prefer Morbius the Living Vampire over Blade the Vampire Hunter anytime of the day or night. I treat Morbius with kindness.

Sunlight doesn’t burn blade because he doesn’t have the genetics of the vampires weaknesses. The genes that are their weaknesses is still human DNA. Instead of being effected by sun he remains to keep his melanin and everything that keep him human while also gaining the vampires genetic / supernatural strengths. The mix basically gives him all their strengths and none of their deadly weaknesses and allergies/symptoms besides the thrist. The thirst is the only thing that remains. He gains their speed, strength, wall crawling, reflexes, agility, and accuracy/ supernatural vision. I just believe it’s tuned up. So he’s like 25% stronger, faster, etc than the normal vampires.

wasnt it stated in the movies that vampires also age just allot slower all vampires can reach arround 400-500 years but they all die eventualy the only vampire that is inmortal was drake,maybe the comics are diffirent but thats what the movies say.
i know that in the comics dracula and his offspring are inmortal but am not shure that goes for all vamps.
Something like that in the lore I've heard also. They have to be what's called "quickened" or so. They go into like a hibernation like state. Like in Queen of the Damned, where they become petrified like statues until someone awakens them. Even in Underworld this was the case with elders. The blood awakens them or so.
No. Turned vamps do not age. Only purebloods continue to age. It's like they keep getting old forever.
