We had 4 hurricanes in 1 month in 2004 in Florida. In 2005 we watched Hurricane Katrina go roaring up the gulf to New Orleans...

Nope. Stay the flip away from Tampa Bay. We're not even close to completing basic clean-up from Helene. The ground is saturated and Red Tide has been detected here in Pinellas County.

That’s a problem. The more slower a system move at very warm waters the more it will have time to get stronger. That happened with hurricane Maria 2017.

We are only in the middle of hurricane season. Fasten your seatbelt.
Because most of the west coast of Florida can be hit, shown by the models, and it will be crossing Florida, that's just about the entire state. Where is anyone to go? They say, "Get out!" but get out where? Most of us are not ready to drive to Georgia, Alabama, etc. as many of those areas are messed up too. Florida is a mess all the way up the coast and beyond. If we go south, it could come in down there. And I suspect hotels are full.
There comes a point where you have to responsible for your living situation.

south FL, the bottom half of south east, inland in Central FL, or stay local and go to a shelter if you cannot stay in place. I will be in my home in Central FL because my home is a better constructed building and hope for the best.

Yes, he is absolutely right, the impact from Milton on the central or south Florida peninsula has the potential to be catastrophic, same as Helene.. I ve been to so many hurricanes here in MIami, and I am aware of the tremendous devastation that this one could bring about over us, same as Andrew in 1992 and WIlma in 2005 did. My prayers are with all of us here in this area for God to protect us from harm, rgs
God created hurricanes. He had to have known the harm they would cause so I don't get the point of a prayer.
