The late Peggy Taylor, the voice of NBC on the West Coast and at NBC 4 Los Angeles, did a voice-over for NBC's "The Best of Friday Night Videos" at 58:22 as NBC's "Friday Night Videos" was a weekly 90 minute program which debuted July 23, 1983, right after "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" on NBC until June 5, 1987 when its final 90 minute show aired. The show was reduced and cut to a 60 minute program on June 12, 1987 right after NBC's "Late Night with David Letterman" added a Friday show to make it a five night a week airing on NBC. And Fort Worth-Dallas viewers watching NBC 5 KXAS-TV, watched "Friday Night Videos" on a one week behind basis rather than airing a new broadcast aired. And Johnny Carson and David Letterman were great Late Night talk show host we will always remember, and Ed McMahon as his sidekick. RIP Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon.
The Iglesias song >> SO poignant to hear a song of Love for this Country at a time 2021 when the new Pres. leads in building hatred for all aspects of America…
Well hopefully he’s found guilty of inciting that insurrection on the capital, and lying about top secret documents, and trying to interfere with a free election, and hush money payments, and withholding congressional aid for a favor, and illegally inflating his property values, not even mentioning all the name calling and birth certificate speculation and infidelity and nepotism and conflict of interest businesses etc etc. What a stain on this country Trump was 😔
Thank you for Johnny but why oh why include the ANNOYING commercials???? If you put any more of The Tonight Shows here on UA-cam PLEASE LEAVE OUT THE ADS.
Your opinion is very much in the minority. Most of us want to view it as much to the way it was originally broadcast as possible. If you want to go to sleep to old Tonight Show episodes, there are plenty of options. Amazon Prime is one and even here on UA-cam. Have a nice day..
A great slice of history, especially with the commercials and local "bumpers".
He. Was. A. Great. Man. RIP. Johnny. Carson
bring the 80s back....... tearssssss
And LOVE seeing the commercials. Historic window….

0:01 So HE was the inspiration for Ron Burgendy!
Nah, half the newscasters in those days had the mustache look. Jerry Anderson from channel 11 Toledo had an even more Ron look back then 😆
9:46 I’d forgotten he was on this channel before he moved, that’s Ron, I mean Jerry, seated lol

Why do people feel the need to infuse their political opinion on every motherfucking UA-cam video? God, it gets old

Random Fun Fact: Julio sold his Miami Island Mansion property in 2020 to Jarad Kushner! Wonder where he got all that money from? 🤔 #nepotism
Does Julio have a stomach ache 🤒. ?
Nope
Saw first Julio when I was in Europe. Loved him ever since.
😆 Yes 🤢
Man the pontiac 6000 was an ugly car. What were they thinking? A veritable shoebox with wheels
I never have thought Letterman was funny. They made the right choice to give the tonight show to Leno

Based on other comments I've seen on other videos, I know I'm not the only one who enjoys seeing the commercials. It's like a time capsule.

True. However, for those of us who listen to Johnny Carson to go to sleep the ads are NOT conducive to continued slumber.
😊 😴
