That is how my grandmother roasted her peppers right on the gas burner. My mom and dad roasted theirs on the BBQ grill so that they could do a bunch at a time. My mother would then put them in paper bags to steam the skin off and then as Nonna did cut them up an put in containers with olive oil and garlic and then she freeze them and use them through out the year. Great on a roast beef sandwich. Or a antipasto.
I love your channel and I love Nonna Pia too but please don't wash the peppers after roasting. That method washes away the lovely roasted scent. Just wipe the skins off with your hands. No offense Nonna Pia.
