Happy New Years, y'all!! Blessings and well for everyone! In regards to today's video, give me your favourite Superman cartoon or cartoon iteration! Let's start the convo down below.. (DCAU is the correct answer)
Although I do still like the series, you do made some solid points and I respect it. A bit of a nitpick abt your view on Kara, tbf it did reveal that Kara in this ver. was literally the same age as Clark and was sent away as a baby so her attachment Brainiac made sense bc that's the only parent she ever knew and for her to be better than Superman here made sense is bc of battle experience as she was trained her whole life conquering planets and shi, packing Thanagarians and possibly Lanterns in a bag while being Winter Soldier'ed. Lowkey her character carried the season for me ngl. Also yes, Zod would've made much more sense as stepfather for Kara, Brainiac would make sense as a secondary to final antagonist if Zod were to hesitate for Kara and deemed him a liability
You're very right about Kara being winter soldier'd (love that term), so i'll give her the battle experience. Even character wise, she grew so much from start to finish, I can admit that, but this version of Kara just irked me haha. I'm glad the Zod thing made sense to someone else as well. That's all I could think the whole season. Appreciate the support
@guapojim I have to guess (I could be dangerously wrong, correct me if you must) it's because she feels too similar to Wonder Woman in her debut from the trying to fight anything to being a fan of ice cream rather than Supergirl. Ngl I don't rlly have a problem with it, just feels like an interesting take on her origin exclusively for this universe besides it's reminding me of Superman/Batman Apocalypse storyline but if Darkseid found Kara first even though it's Brainiac. Also, her and Clark being the same age is pretty neat too bc it's a different take to their dynamic which could come with silly banter which I find endearing. (Her hair also reminds me of Power Girl)
@@guapojim ep 6 and so on felt kinda serious ngl that along with the conflict with Lois's dad. I think this somewhat feels better as like a cartoon network show kinda thing instead of adult swim bc it's seriousness is not as intense like in the DCAU series. Similar arguement abt this could be said with the Sonic movies when compared to the games/comics.

Not the best Superman series, but generally a fun series.
You're bang on. I think it feels too fun for me sometimes.
Not saying we need a Zach Snyder serious show, but this show never feels serious
