Okay before I even watch this video let me give you all an excellent tip for lockpicking this is what I do and that is to start from the inside out. WHY you may ask... well, if you line up all the rings from the inside out, they are already positioned, which minimises the variables you have. so say for example the inner circle is eight which could be a variable of 4 and 4 or 5 and 3 so look at the slots variables 4 and 4 if those variables line up move on to the next ring and do the same until you get to the last outer ring. honestly, it sounds complicated but it isn't try my method next time you pick a lock once you have lined them all up from the inside out you can click on each circle and because we lined them all up they will open as you click on them.
What I would recommend that you do is to write down which sequence you are using for example sequences 3 and 5 open the inner circle and sequences 2 and 4 open the next circle and so forth. try my method it works every single time but be careful with ATMs I got away with a few of them and just paid the fine. However any stolen items on you they will take them all which are marked RED. what I would also recommend is to save not quicksave but save before each lockpick which means if you mess up you just load where you started and start again.

Another tip to help: plan all of your picks before you start unlocking because some options can work at different levels, but there is always only one correct pick choice for each lock level. Otherwise you may find yourself unlocking the first layer or two only to have to back out because you no longer have the right options for the 3rd or 4th layer of the lock.

Didn't watch the video not sure if he said this or not but the biggest tip ive found i can hack any lock in less than 20 seconds, just pick the ones with the most pins and biggest gaps first, its as easy as that...

Biggest tip i can give is to just install the easy lockpick mod and be at peace, or have pity on our fellow console players until they get mods.
You consume one even when successful, so i dont see it as cheating frankly, and i want to spend more time playing the game instead of picking locks.

Honestly I struggle with it so much so I just don't even bother anymore since I don't have access to mods

To begin with, but like anything it is easier as you go

Not difficult per say but some people's brains just do not have good spatial memory or pattern recognition (that would be me) and they take a LOT more time to figure out which just makes the whole thing feel not worth it.

@@CrystalDSmith true. It took me a while to understand it and now the lockpicking has become a bit easier to me.

@sanketvaria9734 I'm honestly not getting any better at it over 100 hours in. I just to novice locks when I have to. Practicing just isn't adding those two shortcomings to my brain
