@@AngelsofAnarchy a couple of years ago after my heart transplant I put on a lot of weight and I kept seeing people's comments about this lady and I kept asking for her help because I tried all kinds of diets and nothing worked. I tried and tried to get her advice but she would never respond although she would go over all the comments but she only answered the requests from women.
Hip dips are gorgeous! It's muscle separation between the gluteus maximus and the gluteus medius. If you don't want them, there are three things you can do: 1) lose all your glute muscle and have a pancake ass, 2) get so fat that nobody can tell you have any glute musculature, or 3) wear an adult diaper to cover it up.
Good for you for clearing that up. As a guy, I always found them attractive because I associated them with fitness and muscular definition. Now I know they're more like dimples around your smile--some are born with them and some are not. No biggie, either way! Thanks for educating me.
@@joek5078 @joek5078 Yeah, I've seen others refer to "Dancer's dent" from muscle tone. But the valid point Lisa makes is that a good portion of it is genetics. Some women who are fit and muscular will never get them, others will never get rid of them no matter what they try.
I have hip dips too and during the pandemic I was very insecure of them because of all the “get rid of hipdips” videos on the internet. But now I have learned that they are natural and we can’t get rid of them so I ended up loving them.
Probably gonna get flack for this, but quite honestly hip dips can be really attractive (it accentuates the work that you put into your glutes and looks a bit badass). Hope this helps any other women like you who are insecure about this particular body feature.
@@Evelyn-lw5kg Honestly not the best at reading emoji, but I assume that's an acknowledgement of being a serious gym rat and a "thanks". You're welcome. I'm glad it helped. Keep crushing it on leg day!💪😉
As I grew into my teenage years and saw my body develop I did not have them. But I started having them after going through intense ballet training. Once I stopped doing that two years after, they never left! And I would love to find exercises to “get rid of them”
The other name for it is "dancer's dent". It's not purely genetics - it's also from having a lot of muscle around the glutes and low body fat. From many people's perspective, it's a very good thing to have.
In my 20s, a black lady complimented me on mine, and I had no idea WTH she was talking about. She said she wished she had them. Of course now, in my 50s, I’ve got fat dips everywhere…
Ladies.... When you are critical of your bodies, you are training men to be critical of your bodies as well and teaching them to have unreal expectations of what women should look like
I just want to make one thing clear. There is a difference between the hip dips on this fitness influencer and the hip dips that are comprised of a combination of saddle bags, love handles, and little to no fat in between. This girls hip dips are part of her skeletal structure as she said and are barely noticeable. My hip dips make me feel and look deformed because my body has uneven weight distribution with patches of fat in some places and no fat in others. It’s not “in your head” and there are things you can do to minimize their appearance. Overall weight loss and building the glute muscles help. There’s nothing wrong with looking for ways to correct things that bother you. Once you get to a healthy weight and tone up, chances are they won’t bother you any more.
This!! I never had them when i was skinny and now after 2 kids, BOOM! I have them 😂 I did notice the size of them reduced significantly after walking about 20,000 steps a day for 3 weeks on our holiday in japan
Thank you. I needed to hear this. I lost 60 pounds and noticed i had them and yeah, nothing i did got rid of them so to know they are bone structure makes me feel a lot better.
I appreciate this greatly. It was disheartening to learn that there’s yet another thing that women have to hate/fear about their bodies. I only learned what they are a couple years ago. I do wish this BBL/perfectly round huge glutes thing would ease up a bit. I love hitting legs at the gym, but other things matter too for women! We can have different shapes and still be beautiful 😍
My future surgeon said the Same thing but I see some women who have worked their hip dips and rounded them so idk … and I did a workout earlier and I could feel the burn in the dip… it’s a Personal experimental workout thing with ur own body u have to position urself and adjust when working out to feel a burn in that area.
I think it rose out of the need for pharma to make more money on filler. Celebs get filler injected there to make it look more “full” Ridiculous! If someone has 50k to fill in this area unnaturally, surely there can be more saving of the world or something….with this money😂❤
The one and only fitness woman who is honest and not targeting people for their insecurities to get views luv u lisa fit ur amazing! Just work hard guys.....
Right!!!So tired of "influencers" on social media just copying what each other say when they dun have any idea on what they're actually talking about. Grrrrr

Amazing tips, straight to the point, short and wise. Thank you for sharing what has worked for you, you are the perfect example for women who want to achieve their own goals at the gym to follow. It’s not easy but it pays off for sure. Look at you!!!! Love your videos. 💕
I like how you don’t even bother giving examples that might make them less visible(like other UA-camrs) and you just point blank say- they’re there too stay. I was working out for ages and I never got rid of it even when I listened to all the influencers that told me what to do too make them gone. I realized after talking to a professional that I would actually need to get fillers or some other kind off injections to fill that space bc it is just a natural shape. Refreshing finding truthful content, makes me feel like I can trust what you tell me, because you don’t give false expectations✨🤞🏽
This is so helpful! I didn’t notice mine until after 2 kids and it bugs me so much. Since lifting weights and growing my glutes they have not gone away, but I am much more comfortable with my shape and know I work hard to stay for. I am happy to hear it’s a normal part of my anatomy.
We have this natural shape from the moment we learn to walk, thank you for being the one to step up and tell people how our body looks naturally yet they should know this but they try to look like others instead of being comfortable in their own bodies
Thank you for clarifying this. I also hate when people look at u like an alien when you do hip dips..listen people, the more u work out, the more hip dips will be prominent

Listen to this woman. She knows what she's talking about. I mean, just look at her.

Why does she hate men so much.

It absolutely does have a lot to do with muscular definition. It's like having the "tricep horseshoe" - all the muscles around it create the shape.

@SeattleDan R Agreed - a bit of both. It's crazy that social is trying to turn them into a negative - it's not changing my opinion!
Is it true that we cant get rid of them? Whatever exercise we try?
