Thank you, Barbara .... Wahoo!!!
Awesome thank you for sharing!
I LOVE these. Thank you! A tip: When I make pairs of items that need to come out exact same size like this. I make them both together. I will do both soles at the same time. And then do so many rows at a time alternating each slipper back and forth.
That's a clever idea. It will work perfect ♥ Glad you like them. Have a lovely day ☺
A tip I've heard before and need to remember ...at least for the soles
I do the same 😊
I do the same but for another reason: I am lazy to start a new unit! LOL So I make them at the same time
This is the perfect style to get both equal 100% and finish both pairs in same time , I always do like this way when I make slippers , gloves or any twins project
Ovo je prava majstorija raditi , bravo za pletilju jako mi se dopada njen rad.
Love this pattern. Thank-you for going slow enough for this 75 yr old brain to see and understand the directions. Can't wait to try this . 🧶♥️🧶🌹😉
I have made these slippers twice and decided to make more. I kept coming up with 65 stitches, I FINALLY, remembered that the joining and tying off required hiding the chain three on the row 3 of the sole. I have worn my first pair of slippers sole to nothing. Gave the second as a gift, so now I need a new pair. Love love love this pattern
I made these today. Have made 1 of them so far actually. I am a US size 9.5. I used an 8mm hook to make the sole and then sized down to a mm hook for the upper all using size 6 yarn and it fits great!
I made a pair of these using 2 strands of yarn. One black. The other a sparkle purple. They are adorable. Love your voice. God Bless.
Loved this one.. made some slippers for my brother 2 yrs ago for Christmas. He loved them
I come back to this pattern over and over. I have made 10 sets as gifts for family and friends. My oldest daughter loved hers so much she wanted to wear them at the hospital when her baby was born. The hospital required them to be no slip so we used a glue gun and made lines along the bottom of the soles. It worked perfectly. Thank you Sirin for sharing this pattern.
How did you change sizes? As of today 8/21/23 I cannot find instructions to enlarge or decrease.
I want know as wello@@cauldron1951
I'm making my third pair right now. So easy to make and the end result - not only eye candy, but also very comfy and warm. Simply in love with this pattern, Thank You!
I have 1 made. I used Bosfor( Turkish wool) chunky wool and 7mm hook. Followed you exactly and mine would fit size 5 to 6 comfortably. Your English is PERFECT and excellent teacher so easy to follow just watching you. Tonight I will make the other 1.Thank you for your time. You put so much information into your videos. I am definitely making more of these.
Love from Ireland xxx
Ann Marie
Hi Ann Marie. So happy to read you like the one you made.😻Use them in good days. How could you find the Bosfor yarn 🙈You have someone in Turkey don't you? That's so nice 💜
Thank you for your tips! Every pattern of yours I have tried so far has been easy to follow and has turned out exactly as advertised! Thank you for sharing your talent with those of us that need those like you to create!!
I have completed this tutorial, and I am truly satisfied! I embellished mine with a pom on the front, and put a fur on the inner sole and make them non slippery on the sole... This will be a holiday gifting favorite
Finally a pattern I like. I’m making these for my mom for Xmas. I’ll be putting fur around the top and adding a handmade pompom
It will be perfect 😻Happy Christmas with your family and friends ❤❤
I made a pair of these for my elderly Mother, and she’s wearing them right now on this cold morning. Thank you 🙏
I am a beginner and just started to crochet last month and have already done two of your tutorials and finished products. I love your videos. Thank you so much for sharing and allowing me to fully enjoy this art.
I am going to make these for my husband. I have to go and get the right yarn for this. Thank you for your wonderful tutorial. God bless you.
how many chains did you make for your husbands feet? :D
Wonderful video. A little fast for beginners, but they can take it slow and re-play as needed. Great pattern. A must for a great gift for others or to pamper yourself. Love Renee Bjork's tip below. Make both slippers/boots at the same time to match as-you-go. Another quick tip ... purchase yarn for complete set at the same time ... match die lots (check on wrapper for the stamped lot numbers of the same number and always buy at least one extra skein more than the pattern calls for ... you may need to make it larger and/or your stitches may not be the exact same size as what you see on the pattern/video.) Each person has their own style, tension and/or use of yarn ... this can make a big difference in the long run as to how much yarn you need. Full skeins, not opened or used, can usually be returned to the store for refund (with receipt)... or ... keep for future use on a small project. :)
Thank you. That's a nice tip 😍😍
These, by far, are the best slippers. They make amazing boots too. I have made so many different kind of slippers. I absolutely love this pattern. Thank you so much for sharing it. Makes my Christmas list a breeze. I have six pairs on back order.
There is a non skid liquid you can brush on the bottom to keep them from slipping. Similar to the non slip coating on the socks they give out at the hospital. These things are so comfortable and we put them on our patients at the nursing home.
This is the best slipper bootie pattern I have found yet! Thank you so very very much ! 🧶
Just finished my first pair, so happy how they turned out, will definitely be making more, only change I made was to use double soles. So thank you for the pattern and your very easy to follow video.
I just posted this to my group in Facebook, lots of people love this pattern
I made them for the daughter for the holidays and once she put the on she would't take them off!!! She LOVES them!! Thanks!
You are a very good teacher I am a beginner at crochet and I had no trouble following ur video, so thank you so much
I've made 3 pair of your slippers and I'm making another pair for my husband today! Thank you for the great pattern & tutorial.
AWESOME, it was so fun, first time I enjoyed making a slipper. just perfect. thank you sooooo much. great teacher.
Thank you so much. You’re a marvelous teacher. Your voice is so soft and gentle you send me confidence to me.
I'm on my 3rd pair of these slippers. They turn out great everytime.
I used Chunky gray yarn.
Love these..Thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I made a really cute pair for my mom for Christmas - will be making more for the rest of my family. Merry Christmas!!!
I wrote the pattern from memory - hope i didn't make a mistake.

Thank you. This is helpful. However I believe the beginning chain was 19. I know this took quite a while to compose, thank you for doing this to help everyone.
@@alwaysathome OMG, typo. Of course it is 19 chain. I corrected that. Thanks a lot - Happy New Year :)
Cat Fangs thank you thank you thank you! Just made my first sole. You have no idea how much I appreciate the written pattern. I absolutely LOVE her work and creations. She’s a genius and creative .... I wish I could do what she does AND what you do...I also went down to a size I needle instead of a K...big difference...like between clown shoes and doll shoes hahaha. Thank you both agIn for amazing slippers.
Thank you 😊 Appreciate the pace at which you demonstrate the process, your calm voice and patience. Starting with my 1st pair of Booties as a practise run asap.
I am a newbie crocheter - this is my 4th project and I just finished my first bootie. I need to complement you on the brilliant design. The stitches which make up the sole are so well constructed. I have large, fat feet (EU 42, Birkenstock Normal width) and I knew this pattern wouldn't work as is. You mentioned finding other sole sizes on UA-cam and I tried but most of them looked like kindergarten level compared to this university level design. So I thought...why not go up two sizes in the hook and see if that would work for me. HA! The end result would have worked for Sasquatch! And I tried to make the sole by only using the written pattern. Another fail. So this time I only went up one size hook and followed your video step by step. The end result was a perfectly sized, beautiful bootie. that has enough "give" in it to accommodate my wide, fat feet and still keep them toasty warm...I LOVE IT. Thanks so much for sharing your brilliant ideas. Someone or two on my list may be getting a pair of these for Christmas this year!
Hi Byzantine Dixie, can you please tell me what size hook you used and what type of yarn you used? I am about to try this project out as a gift for someone who is a size EU42 as well. Would love to hear from you, thanks
@@joanneathanatos395 I used a 7mm hook but I can't tell you to this day after many more projects if I crochet tight or loose. I always have to either make a swatch, or start and adjust. If you get a sole length of 10.6 - 10.8 inches or so (mine measures almost 11 now after wearing for a while and using support inserts) you know you will be in the right ball park. There is some "give" in the slippers so precision is not so critical. These would make an awesome gift. Such a great design.
@@byzantine_dixie Thank you so much for replying, your comments are very helpful. Did you use the same yarn as Sirin (Lionbrand Woolease thick and easy)? Can't wait to start this project now :) I'm hooked (pun intended).
@@byzantine_dixie Sorry another question, how many balls of yarn did you use? thanks :)
@@joanneathanatos395 Yes, I used the exact yarn specified, mostly because I liked the look "as is". And I am glad I did because I have to admit, my record when it comes to deviating from the pattern for yarn and color in other projects is not stellar!) I bought 3 skeins as packaged. Lion 640-123E Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn , 97 Meters, Oatmeal (Good thing I ordered from Amazon so I had the info. Your question has made me aware that I need to start recording these things!)
Спасибо! Очень понятно, без лишних разговоров, минимум необходимой информации и необычайно приятный голос!
Thank u so much ,I tried to follow other videos from different people and non of them worked until I found u ,your instructions are very good ,I made mine and didn’t have to un do them like usual 😊😅
I made my first pair today, it was quick and easy. I didn't have any bulky yarn so I used two colors of regular #4 yarn together. I love how it turned out. I will make another pair real soon. Thank you for sharing your talents with others.
What size hook did you use
I have made 2 sizes for my daughters and I have a male request and another female request. I love them. They are actually easy to make. I love the finising too. I made 2 or your tutorial Berets and the Alpie hat. I am about to make 2 more Alpine stiched hats for a total of 6 so far. Thank you so much for your tutorials. They are ispirig!
Glad you like my tutorials ♥️Use them in good days 💐
I love these! I've made 2 sets already & last night I made them in a baby size for a 6 month old!!!
Best slippers ever ❤❤
Just finishing up my first boot and want to say how much I like your tutorial and, of course, the boot. It is a fantastic pattern and your tutorial makes is that much easier. Thanks you.
*Written Pattern Below (click read more).*
Sirin! You are so kind to share this wonderful pattern with all of us. THANK YOU!!! I have just finished making these and I love them! I noticed that many people in the comments were asking for a written pattern and I did not see one yet on your website. I am hoping that you will not mind that I have written up the pattern (as best as I could) in hope of helping those who wanted to make them, but were struggling to follow along. Your video was not hard for me to follow. Perhaps it is because I have been crocheting forever (and I am old)! I hope this helps some one make your beautiful slippers!
*Sole:*
[I called these rows , but they are actually more like flat rounds, as you are working around the back of your first chain. Watch at 3:42 if you aren't sure how to work along the bottom of the chain. ]
Rw 1. Make a slip knot, Ch 19. In 4th chain from the hook DC 3 in same chain. The three skipped ch count as a DC. Make 14 DC. There will be one chain remaining. In last chain, make 7 DC.
Turn slightly to work along bottom of previously worked stitches, make 14 DC. Working in the base of the first actual stitch of the previous row, make 3 DC in the same ch.SS to 3rd chain of beginning chain.
Rw. 2. Ch 3 (counts as first DC). Make another DC in same stitch. 2 DC in each of the next 3 stitches. 6 HDC. 9 SC. 2 HDC in each of the next 3 stitches.
6 HDC. 9 sc. 6 HDC. Make 2 DC in each of the next 2 stitches. SS to 3rd chain of beginning chain.
Rw 3. DC in same stitch as beginning chain (inc). DC in next stitch. 2 DC in next stitch (inc). 1 DC in next. 2 DC in next stitch (inc). 1 SC in next. 2 DC in next stitch (inc).
7 HDC. 10 SC. 2 DC in next stitch (inc). 1 DC. 2 DC in next stitch (inc). 1 DC. 2 DC in next stitch (inc). 1 DC. 2 DC in next stitch (inc). 10 SC. 7 HDC. 2 DC in next stitch (inc). 1 DC. 2 DC in next stitch (inc). 1 DC. 2 DC in next stitch (inc). 1 DC. *STOP.* Do *not* join with SS. Watch at 14:32 . Cut yarn and and pull through last stitch completed. Thread yarn on a yarn or tapestry needle and insert in top of SECOND DC form beginning of the row. NOT the top of the turning chain or the top of the first DC. Then insert needle into the top "v" of the last DC worked in row and gently pull through. . *This is important because you need to reduce the number of stitches around to an even number (or a multiple of two. ) In this case 64 stitches around.* Weave in end of yarn to hide it. The toe end of the sole will be the slightly wider end.
*Upper part of slipper.*
First --find the middle stitch at what will be *the heel* of the slipper.. You can guess and fold the sole in half lengthwise , or count from where you fastened off the last stitch on the sole (I used stitch number 32 as my center). Sirin shows it very well on the video. Watch from 18:16 if you are confused. *Begin with right side of sole up.*
* * * *NOTE: From here on, the beginning ch 2 at the start of every row is NOT counted as a stitch.*
Rw 1. EACH STITCH *IN THIS ROW* IS CROCHETED IN BACK LOOP ONLY (DC in BL). Secure yarn to the center stitch at the heel part of the sole, IN BACK LOOP ONLY. (Insert hook in top of stitch. Pull yarn through and make a SS. Then Ch 2. In same stitch as beg ch, Make 1 DC in BL. DC in BL in each stitch around sole. SS in the *top of the first actual DC* - *NOT* the 3rd ch of beginning ch as we are ignoring it. (64 DC in BL)
Rw 2. This is the beginning of working the Front Post DC (FPDC) and Back Post DC (BPDC) ribbed stitches.
Ch 2. * FPDC around post of first DC in the previous row, BPDC around the next.* Repeat between * and * until end of round. SS to first FPDC to join. (64 stitches still)
Rw 3. This is the row where you start making decreases. I marked the center stitch at the toe end of the sole before I started this round so I would remember when to decrease. Begin the row making FPDC around the FPDC's , and BPDC's around the BPDC's to continue the ribbing. When you get to the stitch BEFORE the center stitch at the toe, you will begin the decrease stitch. You will be working a FPDC 3 Together (FPDC 3 TOG). Watch at 23:17 for instructions on how to make this stitch. After completing the FPDC 3 TOG, BPDC around next BPDC and then continue your alternating FPDC/BPDC as you've been doing until you reach the heel. SS to first FPDC to join.
Here's a written description for (FPDC 3 TOG), if it helps.
Yarn over. Insert hook under post of first FPDC. Grab yarn and pull through. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops. _You will have 2 loops left on hook._ *Skip BPDC.* Insert hook under the next FPDC (the middle one), Grab yarn and pull through. Yarn over and pull through TWO loops on hook. _You will now have 3 loops left on hook._ *Skip BPDC.* Yarn over and Insert hook under the next FPDC , grab yarn and pull through. Yarn over and pull through two loops. _You will now have 4 loops on hoop._ Yarn over and *pull yarn through all 4 loops on hook.* Done!
TIP for new crocheters: Yes, this stitch seems a little awkward at first. You can do it! If you are still confused after watching, try slowing down the playback speed on the video (click the little gear under the video) and watch a few times until you get it! You will!
Rws 4. through 9.
Repeat row 3. When you get to the toe each time and have to decrease , just remember to treat FPDC 3 TOG in the previous row as a single stitch and that it will be the Middle stitch of your decrease for the row. So begin your FPDC 3 TOG for that row in FPDC BEFORE the three that are bunched together. Watch from 25:33 to see Sirin do this.
Rw. 10. Continuing the FPDC and BPDC ribbing, crochet around the top (ankle part) without decreasing . So, when you get to the FPDC 3 TOG from the previous row, don't decrease. just treat it like a FPDC and FPDC around it as a post. Watch at 28:52 to see what I mean.
Rw. 11. Repeat row 10. Just continue to do the same FPDC and BPDC ribbing pattern you've been using all around the top.
Rw. 12 Finishing touch (optional). Using Crab stitch ( it's like single crocheting backwards, if you get what I mean) crochet along top of ankle. Best to watch Sirin demonstrate this! Watch at 29:32
Important step!!!! Don't forget to Like the video and subscribe!👍💝
Thanks again to Sirin for this beautiful pattern and tutorial!
Barbara how kind of you 😍😍Thank you very much. ❤If you give the permission I could share this pattern on my website as free pattern. (I will give the credits of course) Again thanks for working so hard and share this pattern with us 😘❤
@@SirinsCrochet It was my pleasure! Please feel free to use it anyway you wish.😘💝 I am very glad that you did not mind my writing it up. Thank you for your kind words! It truly is a beautiful pattern. My daughter says that the tops of the slippers remind her of a leaf and that they look like an elf could wear them in a forest! I will have to make her a pair in a nice leaf green if I can find a bulky yarn in that color.😊
I need to make it bigger
I made these for my hubby! I used a different pattern for the sole, and used this for the top. I used double strand of #4 weight regular acrylic. I hope the last! They look pretty good for my first try at slippers!
I kind of wish I would of made a double sole. Will maybe see about adding a suede or leather sole, so they don’t wear out too fast.
Thank you for sharing. 💗
Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent with us. Please don’t be discouraged by the 👎🏼 comments.
Thank you Linda. Your beautiful comments make me very motivated 💜💜
I haven’t made these yet but I will and I am sure they will be great because your patterns always deliver. Sirin, you should go back to your videos and add the donation/tipping option. We could buy you a virtual cup of coffee for all your hard work and sharing great patterns
Super cute boots. Thanks for sharing your pattern.
I love these slippers! I just made my 2nd pair after wearing out my 1st pair. I also made slippers for my family.
thank you for this video. I followed your video using worsted weight yarn for my daughter. They came out perfect, shes a size 3.5Y(US). Thank you!!
HELLO, THESE ARE PERFECT.
LOVE THE EASINESS OF THE PATTERN.
THANK YOU.
Wonderful! I have about 26 steins of this yarn, and had no idea what to make with it. Thank you so much.💗
I made two pairs of boots, for Christmas, last year. One for my mom and one for my cousins girlfriend. They love it
Hello Serin, I'm very excited to make these boots for my husband as a gift. I live in UK and know yarn varies in weights. Trial and error will get me there I'm sure. Thank for this formula. If they don't fit him I can pass them to someone else. 😊 Bless you for sharing.
I am a person that really loves written patterns and when I went to your link it was hard to follow the instruction for your sole. So I watched your video and it is completely different than the written pattern. It was row 2 that was confusing. I loved these so much that I have made several pairs thank you!
Simply amazing. You explained every step so thoroughly. I made this for myself and I love these. Thank you sooooo much for this pattern. You're a great teacher. 💕
You're welcome 💜😘
@SirinsCrochet how can we make them bigger or smaller? Looking for written instructions.
I love these! I will make a few pairs. They look beautiful and very sturdy also functionally fantastic! I only hope they come out as perfect as yours did. Thanks so much for showing +& explaining how you made them. The sole looks confortable & very strong. I guess if you wanted to you could put leather on the bottom of the boot slipper. I can’t believe how great they came out! You definitely out did yourself!thanks so much for sharing with everyone!
I have made 4 pairs so far! Thank you for tutorial! These would make such a nice present😉
My cold feet loving these . Thanks 😄
