Great products when used as intended. Open to abuse by the less focused installers. Thanks to your presentation, no excuses for getting it wrong!
very good demonstration for introduction the pros and cons of different manucturer's products. very useful. Good work. solute.
Thanks Derek great video 👍
We call it CCST here in the states and the coating is black and typically needs to be bonded unless you have a mesh screen as one of the layers but I bond it anyway, I don’t trust lightning 😂 Nice video
Would you recommend using any of these products for the use in residential property in the UK or stick to copper and or barrel?
Hi Derick Can I ask on a system with a bypass radiator (In the hallway) both ends having lock shields vales. Which side would be regarded as on/ off and what side is the balancing lock shield? I did read something about it somewhere but can not find the answer. Hopefully you might know? Thank you! It might of been in one of your videos I saw the answer but cant find it and have forgotten the answer!
do gas pipe calcs remain the same? lol. guessing that why you saw increased sizing. they are compesating. saw this stuff used in canada years ago.
What’s the best way to fit a T fitting on a 22mm Trac pipe? What fittings are required?
According to TrackPipe manufacture instructions it can be connected directly to gas meter outlet providing the meter is securely restrained by meter bracket fastened to the wall or floor
Correct
Are the regs regarding supporting CSST pipe the same as copper pipe? Also could you use standard plastic pipe clips to support the CSST pipe or do you need to use a Munson type support clip? Thanks in advance, very useful video
@@brendanwilkes5333 because of the different types of CSST you need to refer to MIs but you can use both types of clips but normally the next size up because of the OD of the pipe
Sir how to get material from india
What’s the reason you need to come out of the meter 600mm in copper before connecting to Trac Pipe?
Because you can only have one flexible connection on a meter and you need the copper to connect the earth
@@tomkatgastraining Thanks. Cadent came and moved our gas meter and also connected it up to our newly laid trac pipe leading to boiler. They did so via a short length of copper from the meter (about 250 or 300mm) but hopefully that's okay. I thought it was possible to earth the bracket that holds the meter, that's where the old bonding went to. Will get a sparky's advice on that one!
I produce this pipeline in China. Can we get in touch?
Why not info@tom-kat.co.uk is our email
You should have done the GasTite demo yourself. The noisy trade show is too distracting.
I’ve seen some pretty horrible installs with this stuff
Good effort mate , this track pipe is a nightmare to use ..

I would always use the return valve as a balancing valve with the TRVs on the flow so a bypass rad I would use the return valve but I guess in this situation it would make very little difference which valve you used
