I mean.. chocobos and summons are more widely known than Malboro for being a FF classic, so him using Malboro as a defining point makes him more credible as an FF fan. For the FF main theme, he might be a bit tone deaf. I'm not even a subscriber, but someone that's not looking out for FFXVI or reading the leaks could be skeptic about FFXVI.

All I can say with any certainty is that this game will come out before the next installment of FF7R. I would say that we'll most likely not see this game until 2022 as 2021 is already looking pretty stacked for games with FF7R's next installment in 2023.

And about the graphics, we’re in 2020. It comes as no surprise to me that these games looks so great. With new technology, there’s a 70% chance that the graphics will be better in the new games than the older games. I know unpopular opinion but it’s how I feel.
They're recycling so many ideas from FFXV, the giant summons that's key to the plot, the warring nations, fast-paced action combat, the darker tone, the teen-adult timeskip. They're like "Okay, we fucked up last time, this time we'll prove them we can make it work"
most of that isnt exclusive to FFXV besides the fighting, these ideas were done before like with the summons being front and center from FF10, warring nations like FF12 and FF14, MUCH darker tones from FFT, FF-type 0, and FF7. The teen-adult time skip is not very unique since time skips have been done before like in FF6.

Must have limited experience with Final Fantasy... the prologue and prelude themes, though re-orchestrated and re-done are still very much recognizable, ifrit, shiva, malboro... how do you not know that chocobos can come in other colors than yellow? Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 4 and 5 are good examples of Chocobos coming in white, yellow, black, green, blue, gold and I believe other colors. However, if it weren't for the music or elements like the chocobos, etc. I would have figured this for some Game of Thrones rip rather than Final Fantasy. I miss the old FF look... even if it did involve a purple armored dragoon and a lipstick wearing paladin LoLoL
