Eagles' third down play left them vulnerable to Falcons | Chris Simms Unbuttoned | NFL on NBC

Simms loves the falcons, and I love simms for that
There was more than the Saquan drop, Falcons went down the field scored in like a minute with no timeouts, Eagles had 27 seconds to get a FG to win.
Plus Eagles had 2 time outs, Hurts doesn’t need to push it down the field like that. Hurts lot them this game
Jalen Hurts had the ball & a chance to Win with a Field Goal & threw an Interception. That Game wasn't over after the Falcons scored like the Media claims. It's insane how fake news media creates narratives. Its like they don't want people remembering the reality that Jalen Hurts INT is what lost the Game.
It wasn’t just the int. The call to not take the fg in the first half and several O line penalties calling back big plays were just as harmful
The ending of the game was what it was but if Phili was actually worthy of the win they would have used quarters 1-3 to beat the Falcons and they couldn't.
RISE UPPP!!!!❤🖤❤🖤

That's true. After the Falcons scored, the eagles had time to go down the field and kick a game winning field goal.
Chris and Ahmad are in mid season form…great show
Get over it Atlanta come back and win the game.. Philadelphia, and and Atlanta has to regroup
before he got hurt Kirk was the #1 QB in deep ball accuracy 4 years in a row!😅
I thought Barkley had his hands backwards. Thanks
Early in the segment simms sirianni has some element of arrogance to go for it on 4th down instead of taking 3 points.... but later part of the segment yall said they should have went for it on 4th down at the end of the game.... they were correct kicking the FG at the end, but they blew the game... that could be a type of play that could de-rail the team.
Different situations
Just because a situation exists where you want to go for it doesn't mean you have to do that every time. There are risk reward valuations that need to be made and Philly made the wrong choice TWICE and it ultimately cost them the game.
that was not the last play
What did Falcons do right?
time made
no difference
Hurts tossed a Pic. Why is not being said anywhere? its because people wanna say he had a good game. Philly took an L. Leave Saquan alone his coach is slow
rb could fumble
The play was honestly fine, saquan could also fumble the ball during the run, center could mess up the tush push. I really dont think it is that big of a deal. If it would of worked no one would be spending this much time on it. Just catch the ball, this isnt 90s or early 2000s RBs are expected to be able to catch the ball. Saquan had a harder TD catch in week 1.
Except the offensive line was dominant all game and Saquon being a RB (not a WR )there's no chance to catch the ball improperly . The league is leaning back towards running with all the 2 high shells being played.
the chance of fumbling is far far less than dropping a pass or throwing an imperfect pass. The chance of him fumbling is amost none, but dropping a pass is something could happen.
Bro, you can fumble the ball on a pass also
So the Chiefs call the exact same play at midfield on 4th down with a backup QB with a minute left in a playoff game, it works, and they are geniuses. The Eagles do it in Game 2 of the season and they are stupid?
one worked, one didnt! It's that simple. KC won that game, philly lost. Winning is the only currency that matters, so yes in hindsight it was a bad/stupid decision.
When you are throwing it to a guy that has the most drops among RBs currently, yes it was a stupid decision when they could have tush pushed twice and won the game
😂Algorithm sez no FG on 4th and 4. 😅Algorithm sez 2 deep zone, 30 yds off the line. Pass was perfect, it was dropped. Defense lost the game for Eagles.
What did Falcons do right?
Keep the game close the entire time and then drive 70 yards in under a minute to win the game?
