It might not matter. Heard a live streamer's BR team mate admit he never took the foam out of the tower in his first PC. Thus kept wondering why it would overheat. So peeling that sticker off beforehand isn't going to help some people who 'take it out of the box, plug it in, and go'. Maybe a small 3x5 card of such things included might help.
One of them seemed pretty butthurt about how the companie was basically run by the twitch streamers. As that is correct. They are basically the board of directors.
I was very sceptical about watching a multi react video, since every other just put fcs together in corners and leave it, but it was VERY well done. Keep it going, this kind of content is gonna be hard to manage(strikes, claims etc.), but if you do it right, this is amazing.

To correct the cock-n-balls effect, all that would need to be done is put thin lines defining that the shaft is a hilt and thin lines to define the lower sack so that it stands out from the "arms" of the emblem, so that the sack can finally register in the human brain as Thor's hammer instead of Thor's balls. The neato aspect is that by doing that it will create a nice effect that makes the hammer seem like it is floating. Anyway, a simple fix advice from a digital artist. USS Cock-n-Balls has a nice ring to it though. 😂

I watched this reaction after watching Linus react to a hardware guy test his screwdriver against the competition. Seeing people get this stressed over having their products reviewed shows how much they care about them.
Something this video failed to portray is that Asmongold actually said during this stream that he would "talk to his people" to fix the issues that Linus brought up. Linus is correct on a lot of the little things about this company and one of their top teir computers, this is also a great video on what they can do to improve the end user experience. He's also correct in that Asmon, Soda, Esfand, Emi and the others can have their reputations suffer as a result of something going wrong with a PC from their company. People will blame the public face(s) of the company, they don't care about the people in the back room building the PC they will blame the people who represent the company. Asmon, Esfand, Emi, Soda all have to make sure that when something goes wrong with the company they founded and represent that it gets addressed or both their reputation and that of their company will suffer. Better to address these small issues now and put policies in place to make sure they're shipping a quality product, which I believe they are, and Asmon and Esfand both seem to agree that these issues should and will be addressed. Free advice from Linus is great to have, he's been in the PC industry for a long while and knows his stuff, companies pay a lot of money for what they got for free.
They should blame the sponsors though. If you go out of your way to endorse a product you know damn well your reputation is on the line if it fails or succeeds. Would anyone endorse a product saying this product is great without thinking that that means people are listening to my opinion and if my opinion ends up being an extreme misrepresentation of the product that people won't trust me anymore. No one can be that naive.
Hopefully they actually picked up the "good" employees, because the problems Artesian had didn't exclusively stem from the dbag owner, incompetent employees played a big part as well. Based on how Starforge launched, I can only suspect some of the imposters wiggled their way in.
I’m glad they do acknowledge when something happens that shouldn’t. I will say, when I got my first pc (I’m not super knowledgeable but ik a lot more than when I had my first pc) I would’ve not know about the pins, and the other stuff being plugged in backward and probs would’ve spent hours trying to figure it out if tech support couldn’t help
2 year point is completely invalid. Every part of your PC is generally going to have a 3 year warranty. Most quality products have 5+ (and Power supplies that are worth your time have 10 year warranties)
It's shocking that there is no quality control in a company that builds computers. A 15 point checklist would have fixed everything. Employees sign their name on every computer checklist that they pass. That way you can retrain problem employees.
I actually think they have a bright future. Asmon isn’t a guy who cares for money and not satisfying his customers. I truly believe they’re trying their best they’re still in the beginning steps though so there’s bound to be mistakes along the path.
11:15 DIY will literally save you money across the board no matter what you're doing. DIY your landscaping. DIY auto repair. And so on. So I don't feel this is fair at all. Yes you can put together a PC relatively simple BUUUUT there are PLENTY of people out there that just don't have the time or courage to DIY a PC. Especially when said PC is $2,500+ just in parts...
One of the things that matters most to be when buying anything is product support. People are going to mess up but if a company stands behind their product, then I can appreciate that and will usually still buy it.
the fact that Linus reviewed this and other companies pay a fat premium for a review. they really need to take advantage of this. stocks probably went through the roof!

Linus did this for them for FREE. These streamers knew it was good, but they didn't understand money can't even buy them this. Forget normally having to pay a lot for consultation cause that won't even buy them what Linus did.
This is always is the case, DIY has more cost saving and more personalization involved While buying a prebuilt one means that you are paying the parts plus less customization plus labor cost. So it will always comes down to helping the company out by buying the product or build your own.
Peeling stuff off is fine for the outside of a case but Everything that lives inside should be good to go out of the box with as little user interaction as possible.
As an enthusiast and builder, I am def. with Linus on all his points about the hardware, as well as add a few of my own: - Another 011D.....boring - Agree with the PSU choice; If I'm spending $3500 USD on a system I'm expecting a like 1200w MINIMUM - Connectors not being fully seated is no excuse - THROW EXTRA CABLES AWAY??? Dude you obv know nothing about building PC's; you NEVER throw away extra cables, EVER - "What does that mean?" Basically facepalmed....the diagram is literally right beside the header on how to plug the front I/O cables in - The fans on the side as intake are necessary in this case as it's large and needs the fans to circulate all the hot air in that big of a case; no acrylic bullsh*t please Get the ones building these some training and you guys will be good to go; just a few small things to fix. Def not garbage, just needs some TLC
LTT was great, honest, and true. This was an advertisement if anything. Well done will consider using your service. Keep growing and ironing out those little bugs.
What kind of got skipped over was the dumpster part 😂 That part had me dying because Asmongold paused it at the wrong time and he thought Linus was throwing it in the trash
My first thought when I heard about the plan to sell PC's was that they had some sort of evil scheme going on, because who in their right mind thinks this is a good idea otherwise.
The peeling the plastic thing I look at it on both sides. There's going to be the group that knows what to look for, some that do but may overlook due to excitement, and the group that's new that has no idea. Remember some of those components get hot. I'd agree with Linus on peeling probably peeling the internal parts but leave the plastics on the glass/Plexi glass doors and front to keep from scratching and damage and give that "satisfaction" of peeling something new.
Love the differences in reactions. Gold is saying "I agree, we need to fix that" or "yeah, we need to check those prices to see what's up". Then you have soda over here like "Stop saying it's ran by twitch streamers! It's nottttt!" and getting upset at everything. Very clear difference in the way they handle business and approach this business. One of those aforementioned streamers will be in it for the long haul, the other will run when the ship starts to sink and never look back.
I laughed out loud when Linus said Starforge told him they believe Twitch Streamers will make their brand look more reliable. Thats the exact kind of streamer disillusion thats going to kill the company. I wouldnt trust 95% of those streamers to provide me with something as simple as a cup.
For the added cost for them building it- the QC errors are unforgivable. That's why you pay them to build it. -For their expertise. They took extra money to make beginner mistakes.
5 months late. Fun Fact for a couple automotive plants I visited when it came to plastic plugs like the 4pin that wasn't actually clipped they used an easy trick. PPP or push pull push. Simple, push it in, try to GENTLY pull it out, then push it in again. If it's not clipped, the pull removes it, if it's on the edge of clipped then the second push locks it in. Honestly a fantastic tip for any and all electric connectors from automotive to PC. Use it with what you are working on in mind, small ribbon cables? Maybe don't or be very gently. Trailer for your pickup? Give her the beans.
peeling the things off is fun but they are forgetting one major issue, you don't open your iPhone to peel off random plastics, you shouldn't have to open your pc to peel off random plastics either. If you do open ur pc then why not build it yourself at that point
@@LeonimuZ u hella right, I just did a major smooth brain. Although im still pro build ur own pc. If one has the skills to open the case then they have the skills to built one from scratch
Yeah... Peeling off stuff is nice, but all those should be marked really well. Inside and otside. I just peeled something off my TV 4 years after getting it.
Inside the case if missed can be bad some of those parts get really hot. Most experienced PC owners may get it all some might be too excited and miss something. And new PC owners might not know and just fire it up after taking the packing out cuz they want to get going on their new system. Just looking at it on both sides.

Dunno if it is a GamersNexus cross-reference thing going on or if it's his reactions to the "behind the scenes" parts. :D
DIY saves you money if you get parts that don't fail on Box Open, it's not as common but it was very common for a while to get DOA parts especially video cards and Mobo's, If you don't fry them yourself plugging it in backwards or not firmly enough and having an ARC fry you
The plastic peel off is an important part of buying new stuff. I returned a guitar last year, because it was a re-box with no plastic (and no discount).
It's good that Linus was thorough while the company is ready to accept criticism and fix issues, which will go a long way in extending the lifespan of the company - happy customers are important

The vast majority of people buying a pre-built are gonna take it out of the box, plug it in, and go. That stuff should be removed by the SI regardless of how satisfying you think it is. The only exception would be stuff that is peelable on the exterior.
I would say, leave the film on the glass since that's pretty straightforward as to why but the film on internal components probably should be peeled.
props to all of them for not acting butthurt at the criticism and puns that were done on them and for admitting the mistakes pointed by Linus
One of them seemed pretty butthurt about how the companie was basically run by the twitch streamers. As that is correct. They are basically the board of directors.
sodapoppin was being a salty dog the whole time, hes always been a dog lol
Having a quality control person is probably the best thing they could do to address the quality issues.
multi react videos are amazing, great job, keep them coming
I was very sceptical about watching a multi react video, since every other just put fcs together in corners and leave it, but it was VERY well done.
Keep it going, this kind of content is gonna be hard to manage(strikes, claims etc.), but if you do it right, this is amazing.
can we take a moment to appreciate the editing here, they took the time to merge pov's and seperate them when the streamer paused to say something. amazing job!
Wow very impressed by basic video editing skills. Very impressive 🤣🤣
It’s amazing how much influence Linus has on this industry now, his word is gold when he praises you and you will get more sales but honestly if he was not satisfied with starforge I and manyyy others would probably turn to another company. And they now that, hence they had all of their owners react to it. And ofc this influence will grow soo much more now because of LTT Labs.
It's hard to impress Linus and first impression is all that matters. He is here to drops some advice for next generation PC build company.
notice none of them disagree with anything he said and all said they either knew it was a mistake or planned to make changes to ammend mistakes mentioned. that's incredibly good signs
3k and cables not even connected properly. That's unacceptable. If I'm paying 3k, the pc had better be in PERFECT condition
I watched this reaction after watching Linus react to a hardware guy test his screwdriver against the competition. Seeing people get this stressed over having their products reviewed shows how much they care about them.
This is the first video I’ve seen of yours, the editing is absolutely amazing and you should be proud of yourself.
Something this video failed to portray is that Asmongold actually said during this stream that he would "talk to his people" to fix the issues that Linus brought up. So they seemed to have taken the feedback the way it was intended by Linus, and therefore can hopefully make better decisions in the future. Overall, great video, thank you!
ah yes nothing more reliable than a streamers word.
@@steelwitness Their reputation is their career, their career is their income, and their income is their shelter. They do not want to be associated with some rip-off prebuilt company. I’m sure he literally called some people probably the next day if not after stream.
@Roe_Jogan I don't think you picked up my sarcasm. Streamers are the most untrustworthy shills in the world lmao
@@steelwitness yeah I understood you. I don’t think you understood that you’re wrong. I don’t give a fuck about streamers, but the last thing those dudes want is some shady shit PC company constantly being brought up in their chats
@@steelwitness Since Asmon said that “COO runs the show but doesn’t make all decisions” I’m pretty sure the streamers have a stake in the company and so they do have a say when it comes to marketing, feedback, and suggestions improvements/ideas
I would LIKE if gamer nexus did his own review. Mfer is always a bit harsher then linus aha and both of them dislike prebuilt PCs but steve from gamer nexus hates them even more lol. Pretty sure he would thumbs up this prevuilt tho
That would be throwing them to the lions though.
You need to remember to include all power cables for your power supply. I would send the computer back if I didn’t get all of them.
You get the separate psu/mobo boxes with every extra cable. Some pre builders dont include the psu box but put all of the cables in the mobo box
Sodapoppin: "We don't run it, are just marketing and promote it"
Asmondgold: "Linus reviewed starforge, my pc company"
Harsh? More like good critism cause they might change what they are doing now just for the long term goals
Hopefully they actually picked up the "good" employees, because the problems Artesian had didn't exclusively stem from the dbag owner, incompetent employees played a big part as well. Based on how Starforge launched, I can only suspect some of the imposters wiggled their way in.
I can't unsee the fact that the starforge logo looks like a middle finger.
Perfect editing to capture the important parts of everyone’s opinions.
It's shocking that there is no quality control in a company that builds computers. A 15 point checklist would have fixed everything. Employees sign their name on every computer checklist that they pass. That way you can retrain problem employees.
Thank you making this mixed review and saving our time king
Bro your edits were amazing and truly felt fluid throughout the transitions!! Good luck on future stuff really enjoyed it!
I actually think they have a bright future. Asmon isn’t a guy who cares for money and not satisfying his customers. I truly believe they’re trying their best they’re still in the beginning steps though so there’s bound to be mistakes along the path.
Yea as soon as I heard of starforge from this review and heard of the owners I have high hopes they do right by the customers
@@Smellyfupa eh idk man 😂
@@lilzeddy well its there face on the company id hope so lol
The video ruined the logo for me. I really used to see a hammer. I can barely see the hammer anymore.
@@semi6544 Even better cock and balls on your pc who wouldn’t want that
11:15 DIY will literally save you money across the board no matter what you're doing.
1 minute and 30 seconds in and the editings got me chubbed gj editor.
I know this is 5 months old, but I got an Elite Pro Starforge and I couldn't be happier! It was pricey, but with everything being the latest specs. I'd pay it anyway. Highly recommend! Will update if anything pops up. But happy so far!
protip: never buy anything a streamer is selling
You left out issue about not getting windows key with PC and OS being pre-configured.
I like this kind of video with reactions from multiple streamers edited together. One might not have enough interesting things to say, but 3 definitely will. Good idea and nice job.
This is the best edited stream compilation ever. Like a really a lot of effort went into this
Linus did this for them for FREE.
I would just like to say, amazing job with the edit.
Peeling stuff off is fine for the outside of a case but Everything that lives inside should be good to go out of the box with as little user interaction as possible.
This video cuts out some of the critiques. Pretty biased.
barely video related but kudos for the CC on this video being actually legible and well done.
As an enthusiast and builder, I am def. with Linus on all his points about the hardware, as well as add a few of my own:
- Another 011D.....boring
- Agree with the PSU choice; If I'm spending $3500 USD on a system I'm expecting a like 1200w MINIMUM
- Connectors not being fully seated is no excuse
- THROW EXTRA CABLES AWAY??? Dude you obv know nothing about building PC's; you NEVER throw away extra cables, EVER
- "What does that mean?" Basically facepalmed....the diagram is literally right beside the header on how to plug the front I/O cables in
- The fans on the side as intake are necessary in this case as it's large and needs the fans to circulate all the hot air in that big of a case; no acrylic bullsh*t please
Get the ones building these some training and you guys will be good to go; just a few small things to fix. Def not garbage, just needs some TLC
Thanks for the edit dude!
LTT was great, honest, and true. This was an advertisement if anything. Well done will consider using your service. Keep growing and ironing out those little bugs.
How did they react about the part where they didn't include all the modular power supply cables?
Really good editing.
'It can also reflect poorly if they're involved in controversy ' well Linus that didnt age well 😂😂
Love the differences in reactions.
This is why you hire a professional logo designer. The good ones always check to see if the logo is phallic lol...
Thanks!
I laughed out loud when Linus said Starforge told him they believe Twitch Streamers will make their brand look more reliable. Thats the exact kind of streamer disillusion thats going to kill the company. I wouldnt trust 95% of those streamers to provide me with something as simple as a cup.
you must be delusional
Who?
You still have to open the case to take out the packing material...
Yeah, outside case peel is obvious to a buyer. Inside like that, it's going to be missed.
Inside the case if missed can be bad some of those parts get really hot. Most experienced PC owners may get it all some might be too excited and miss something. And new PC owners might not know and just fire it up after taking the packing out cuz they want to get going on their new system. Just looking at it on both sides.
Why did you leave out the part where you don't ship the Windows license
9:38
"but it's like 'it's run by twitch streamers, it's gonna fail' ".
absolutely NO WHERE in the video did linus say any failure was the fault of the twitch streamers involved in the company. if you're gonna react to a video, actually fucking listen to what the man says lmao. such a hardcore cope
I don't know who that mexican pc building wrestler is bottom right, but he triggers all my "this guy knows tech" receptors for some reason I cannot explain. Like instant trustworthy. Dunno if it is a GamersNexus cross-reference thing going on or if it's his reactions to the "behind the scenes" parts. :D
@hungus chungus he's built a pc on stream with confidence
I am building a new rig on my own, $2500.00 around the Raedon RX-7900 XTX and the Ryzen 7 7900X3D CPU! I AM SO AMPED!!! My first DIY PC at 52 LOL!
What's really unique is having owners stream their response to critique. That's actual accountability... 🤩
DIY saves you money if you get parts that don't fail on Box Open, it's not as common but it was very common for a while to get DOA parts especially video cards and Mobo's, If you don't fry them yourself plugging it in backwards or not firmly enough and having an ARC fry you
God i love this so much. The professionalism from both sides is amazing. Really respectable
I have to say that the edit of the video is perfect gj
The plastic peel off is an important part of buying new stuff. I returned a guitar last year, because it was a re-box with no plastic (and no discount).
I'd like to see an option of "Yes remove the peels" and "No I want to remove the peels"
6:33 Soda's eyes "👀please"🤣
It's good that Linus was thorough while the company is ready to accept criticism and fix issues, which will go a long way in extending the lifespan of the company - happy customers are important
nice video, very well put together
Peeling the plastic is a known thing people like to do. In the same vein as popping plastic bubbles but not as annoying to other people.
If ur a pc manufacturer, DO NOT remove the peel off. it is the one thing i am paying alot of money for.
Dude this is awesome content the way you have clipped in multiple streamers reacting to the same content. Is this method of editing sustainable? This seems like an extremely profitable format for "recap" style content.
Impressed.
The fact that they recognize where they can improve means the company will do fine
Props to how these streamers acted. I’m sure we all know a handful who in the same position that would feel the need to get defensive for no reason at all.
That title was a clickbait. It's unfortunate that realistic titles don't get nearly as many views as clickbait ones. Linus approved big time and just pointed to a few mistakes to help them out.
8:58 aged like a fine wine LMFAO
