Derasa and squamosa grow to a similar size, which is nearly 18”-24” so your target sizes are off regarding those two species. If anyone wants to keep a clam, I suggest buying James Fatherree’s book on clams, it’s full of awesome info on their care and requirements.
If you’re not seeing new white shell growth at the upper margins of the shell, then check for pests or lack of light. White shell growth is what you want to monitor the most.
Do you know the par level at the sand bed where you placed the clams. I am wondering as I see the Hammer and Bubble on the sand and I would think the derasa would need more light than those two corals can handle.
That’s a myth, as clams have the ability to expel air bubbles on their own. Most of these species are exposed completely during low tides, in full sun, air and sometimes rain. Burping is completely unnecessary.

Make sure to also check your snails for pyramid snails.

No acclimation? Larger piece of rubble rock with a groove to rest clam on until they foot down adhere. Or clam cradles?
