Miami Mondays Ep 8 Art Deco Historic District

Miami Beach is an architectural TREASURE 🤩. This is hands-down my favorite area of Miami to showcase because of the incredibly rich history of Miami Beach. Although it was incorporated just 106 years ago, Miami Beach has gone through periods of building booms 🏗, destruction ⛈ , use as army barracks 🔫, center of drug trade and mafia 🧨, sleepy retirement city 👵🏽, restoration🔨, and now a tourist Mecca📍. Art Deco architecture is done worldwide but Miami Beach is most famous for it because of the sheer immensity of our collection! (800 buildings!). Do you have a favorite Art Deco building? Mine is the Breakwater hotel on Ocean Drive!
