Many would say that the « middle of nowhere » in France is actually prettier that many of its big cities… do explore rural France if you ever get the chance!
Thanks for the kind words! So far Normandy has always been a good idea… when the weather is bad, it’s time to hit the cidreries and the calvadoseries ;) not to mention the cheese factories!
You left out the "goûter" sweet snack around 4, and the "apèro" usually an alcoholic drink and maybe a small snack like some nuts, around 6ish! And it's not about proportions! My French friends eat everything scrap on their plates. And yet, the other day, my slim friend was wearing a fitted dress she had worn 25 years ago. I like your idea that it is the routine that matters. Giving the body time to assimilate the food and rest in between because there is no constant snacking. And of course, the quality of the ingredients. Regulations keep much pesticides and toxins from being used. Lovely vlog!
You are right, the goûter and apéro are true French institutions :) but I think they are not every day occasions, and on a typical day a French person won’t have them! Thereby keeping to 3 meals per day. And 100% on the ingredients - nowhere else have I got the staple ingredients of the same quality…
We are only about 2.5 hours from Paris, we get a lot of Parisian visitors here and there are a lot of holiday homes here owned by Parisians, we allow dogs on request once we have spoken to the owners.
Why is this country so beautiful even in the middle of nowhere 😢
