I love that the interactions consistent of Miku and the audience yelling at each other in broken (yet increasingly good) English and Japanese, respectively. Everyone's trying their best! They're all just here to have a good time!
They are genuine to their fans , which makes america love them even more ! they are the real deal as far as rock & roll goes just get better & better !!
Literally took a 2 hour flight to NYC to go to this show with the meet and greet, got to meet them particularly Saiki and Miku, made saiki laugh, Miku was excited that I was excited. They were nice, wish I had of talked to Miku some more. You could tell they genuinely care about their fans, they played a 2 hour set. It was great so much fun and worth it. This really nice New Yorker I met there fainted near me partially near the end of a song twice and we had to pick him up before he regained his consciousness briefly after that, but when Saiki realized what was going on she made sure to ask if everyone was alright multiple times and made sure he was alright before proceeding to the next song. When she found out he was okay she was holding her hand at her heart, sighing looked, relieved and was saying something along the lines of thank goodness. You could really tell they care about their fans, I love them even more now
@@hazwanhashimhjibrahim oh she was cool! She would try to do the tsundere thing and just give a death stare but she couldn’t hold it in and would laugh and giggle, she’s pretty funny she’s got jokes. After interacting with her, I’d say she became 10x more attractive bc of her personality 🤷♂️
It's like they're playing a private party for 500 of their best friends. No other band is like this. Even though they're ROCK GODS, they're real people, first.
That's so cool! By any chance did you happen to catch the name of their stage hand? The dude with the glasses. He's always on point keeping their cords untangled and also looks mysterious AF lol Edit: Reddit gave me the 411. He is Daisuke Kondo and by the looks of his IG is a total badass!
@@jmannUSMC good to know as I actually didn’t catch his name he didn’t really leave the stage/side of it during the event but I’m glad to know that bc I was curious as to who he was as well, if I remember correctly there were two guys one on Misa’s side and one on Kanaomi’s side I did recognize them from live videos i had seen before when I was there though, I wonder if they have bands of their own.
When Saiki starts to warm up, whether live or in a an interview, she is just amazing...Sai and Ko is pretty funny.....And how many guys can say that the incredible Misa dumped whiskey down their gullet....Wow!!!!...I'm happy for their success and that they will be playing bigger venues, but I'm also bummed that I'll probably never see them in person up that close in a little club....
I know it probably happens a lot...but it is good to see Saiki and Misa smiling and laughing so big like this. They both just come across as stoic and serious so often that I like seeing their smiles and laugh. :)
This is very hilarious..I lived in Japan for 5 years and still speak the lingo...These girls are fucking serious musicians first and just about everything else on top, wonderful to see such refreshing talent. And they drink too....
You know what’s makes Band-Maid’s okuyis special and stand out? Their omajinai time! Where can you see our Japanese ladies trying their best to speak in English and us the fans try to understand Nihongo and answer back in their language? Despite the language barrier everyone has a good time; all thoughts and feelings are conveyed without fail! On a lighter note: if this is how international affairs are handled, there wouldn’t be a need for armed conflicts.☺️🤘🏻
I don't like whiskey but I would definitely drink that one all these girls ( or ladies/women, if you are one of "those") are just so much fun to watch 😍😍😍
Miku is going to talk at you in broken English and not quite understand but you're going to enjoy every second of it ! She can get away with it because she's Miku dammit ! And yes, _obviously_ a pun on her & Saiki's names, the JP word "saikou" (best), AND the Kyary song of the same name.
This part of the concert was pretty Funny! You can tell everyone was having fun no matter the language barrier Miku does a wonderful job, loved that Saiki was also involved ^^ I have a few video recordings myself in case you would like to view. one fan to another! THOSE LADIES ROCKED THE HOUSE!!! BAND-MAID for LIFE!! ua-cam.com/video/XAnGvVcriy0/v-deo.html
Miku's English is getting better and better. There in NYC it appears the banter was between Saiki and psycho. At the Echoplex it was about Akane being half gorilla and Akane replying to Miku's assertion No, I am half human. These ladies know just how to interact with the audience. it is intimate and it might be lost in an arena sized crowd. And that would be a shame. Absolutely love this band.
@@sacluvsBM I've tried to explain that to people for weeks now about how there audience interaction is to golden to be an arena style band. I hope they continue to this kind of half and half style that they do with mix of small and large venues.
@@Cheezzepuff l agree. I also think that will go away as they become more known by the public at large. So, yeah, intimate concerts should always be a major part of their performances. Best regards.
I had always wondered if MISA was just drinking tea in that bottle as just part of her on stage character. This video proves she is for real. MISA truly IS a whiskey drinkin', hard rockin' bass assassin on stage, and shy, demure, (sometimes even geeky), beautiful, elegant and Imperial off stage. I would love to take her to the finest restaurant for steaks and whiskey and talk with her about Space and UFOs. MISA is my Rock Empress! I will always love her! BAND-MAID FOREVER! ;)
MISA is my bias. She seems like a pretty cool person offstage and I'd love to take her out for a drink -- good thing her taste in liquor is something I could afford -- and just shoot the breeze with her (with help of a translator).
Sogo san, I think a lot of the masters won’t allow you that privilege as they want to be that guy too hahaha. ☺️✌🏻 Kidding aside, all you said about her is true. Love her shy, sometimes goofy and even boyish charms. But she’s just so cool, talented and awesome! If you’re as old as me (48) you’d probably see some similarities to D’arcy Wretzky of the Smashing Pumpkins! As much as I love D’arcy, MISA’s just way better in a lot of aspects!☺️
>"At what age do the Japanese regard you as old" What kind of Old? IDK for men but for women it used to be 26. Society expected girls to have married off by 25 and if she hadn't she was a "Christmas Cake" (i.e. past her sell-by date). Since Japanese women today don't marry until 30 or older, that's changed. Our MAIDS are now all past that -- Saiki, the youngest, is now 27.
Not only do they rock, but they're super fun and cute as hell too!
I love that the interactions consistent of Miku and the audience yelling at each other in broken (yet increasingly good) English and Japanese, respectively. Everyone's trying their best! They're all just here to have a good time!

I flew from Edmonton to Portland to see Band Maid!!! So worth it! Please Dominate Canada!!!😁🇯🇵🇨🇦

OMG I never knew Saiki had such a sense of humor! Love Band-Maid even more!

Rare to see Saiki bantering on stage with miku
I was in Nagoya and Kobe this January and there they did something like "stand-up-comedy" for nearly 15 minutes much to the amusement of the audience.
I know I've said it before, but Saiki's speaking voice is sexy!
Watch it
You're not wrong.
Everything about her is sexy!
Saiki is the hottest queen. Do what she says, you plebs.
god i want to see them live so badly
Sai(ki) and Ko(bato).......comedy duo and rock queens
