I was given a press pass to watch this National League clash between Hartlepool United and Halifax Town!
It was a great football match between two big football clubs in the English fifth tier! Non League football at it's finest!

@HeedArmy83 thanks! 🙌
Indeed....don't listen to the doom merchants!.
Not a moaner or whiner, but what you do for a living is classed as non-essential work.
@@stevenwilcox8631 maybe someone should tell Sky, BT, the BBC and other media personnel that attend matches that 🤪
@HeedArmy83 It doesn't matter how he travelled to the ground, under govt guidelines the public are now allowed to travel to tier 3 ( which is what Hartlepool are under ) or 4 places unless it for essential work or care for an elderly or disabled person. Going to football matches is no essential work.
It's good to see teams like hartlepool getting recognised brilliant love a old style stadium
Yeah what a club! Monkey hangers, Jeff Stelling, famous old ground. What more could you ask for?
Hartlepool. A quality video about a real football town with excellent fans. A loss to the football league. Carlisle vs Hartlepool was a proper rivalry.
Thank you! Yeah what a proper good club!
Lucky it’s happening this season lad UTP 💙🤍
In 2013 Hartlepool beat Notts County 2-1 at home.
Pools scorers that day were....
Hartley and Poole😁
Haha oh yeah I remember that!!!
You should tell OneFootball that we changed the badge over 4 years ago! Glad you enjoyed your time in the town.
Glad you liked hartlepool mate. Always welcome down when fans are back in, cracking atmosphere
Thank you :)
Up the pool's 👍thanks for visiting Hartlepool United glad you like our town👏your a good man mate 👍
Legend thank you for watching and leaving a comment. Loved my time in hartlepool!
It's Pools...not Pool that's Blackpool.... decent insight to my town and club, just a shame we can't be there to enjoy it.
You should do East Kilbride Park, once famous for beating a certain record and got beers sent from Holland
Good shout in Hamilton myself.
Originally from Elderslie next to Paisley though.
Carlisle United & Pollok fan myself
Pollok is whare my Girlfriend's father is originally from & going down to see Carlisle United pree Pandemic gave me a chance to see different clubs more often.
Not enough moment between divisions in Scotland in my view.
I was surprised you didn't mention that Brian Clough and Peter Taylor began their managerial career at Hartlepool.
All these proud so called "small" clubs really need intetest from channels like this. Followed your Scotland clubs tour and it was brilliantall the best for the English tour. In Fifa i took the Monkey Hangers to 1x Europa cup and back to back Champions Leauge😂
Nice! I bet Jeff would've been buzzing with the European success! Agree that it benefits all parties when I'm able to make videos at all clubs of all sizes :) Thank you for watching, much appreciated!
Great to see some clips of my hometown team :) while u r in that area you should visit Darlington, be another great addition to your "lost" clubs series
Yeah Darlington is a good shout
@@FootyAdventures in a sense Halifax is a 'lost club' shame you concentrated so much on Hartlepool, although I understand they were the home club who were good enough to allow you in, as Halifax also a former league club who have been through the mill of losing original club
Still enjoy your vids since the Scotland ones. Good that you got access to a game at Hartlepool. Hope you're not getting a hard time from peeps. If you do as good a job as the Scottish clubs then you'll get a huge following...and well deserved too. I look forward to learning more about the smaller english leagues/clubs and the history you provide about them and the towns. Interesting stuff about the Monkey. Keep up the good work.
Really good video, thanks for that, UTP
Thank you!!
Great to see these non league clubs visited..both Hartlepool & Halifax are former league clubs as are plenty others playing in the National League like Torquay, Notts Co, Stockport, Wrexham, Chesterfield, Aldershot, Dagenham, Barnet & Yeovil... reason why having promotion/relegation is a good part of the English league system
Where the drums are is the North West Corner which is where all the football mad people go and it’s great as there always chanting and banging
Nice would love to see that at a match!
It’s really cool
I'm a poolie I stand just below them
Great video as always. Some of the Scottish cup scores from yesterday show exactly how small the gap is between "League" and "non league"
Yes, good point!!!
Also newspaper cartoon character Andy Capp is based in Hartlepool
Great video!
Thanks!
I've had the opportunity to get a press pass for Birmingham City games - reporting on them for my uni newspaper - and it's a great experience they usually treat you well up in the press box.
So weird not seeing you Scotland 😂 but still class as usual ⚽️👍🏻
Haha thanks! I'll be trying to branch out to England and Wales a bit more in 2021, but rest assured a lot still to come from Scotland!!
Thanks for going to Hartlepool big up footy adventures
Thanks for watching :) Hope to come back soon!!1
Great video again loving them theres a famous chant who hung the monkey away fans use to chant 🤣🤣🚜🚜🚜
Huge hartlepool fan hope you like the ground and the atmosphere is class with fans you should come back

This channel doesn’t do 0-0’s!! 👏
🙌🙌🙌
the Scottish fa cup meant something to me because of your videos seeing the results I knew of there grounds & history because of you one stood out Kelty heats winning 2-1
I remember working pitch-side when Arsenal played at Hartlepool (1996 I think). Dennis Bergkamp spat out his chewing gum as he came out onto the pitch at beginning of the game and it landed right next to me. Nowadays I could have picked it up and flogged it on eBay. 😜
Open university will not be calling in a hurry lol. Napoleon was not short he was around 5ft 9 alot taller than Nelson etc
Monkey hangers versus The shamen
Sounds like an early 90s rave ! Was Mr C
There lol.enjoying your travels be safe.
Big yogi Hughes was their for a spell now at Ross county
Are you going to try as complete the 92 English grounds
Haha probably
I miss going to watch Ayr United games
Hartlepool= *I always knew that Monkey was a SPY!*
Monkey= *And I'd have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those meddling kids*
I’ve been there the bus going to Hartlepool from Sunderland was a long length journey the X35 from Go North East under the Fast Cats brand then it was renumbered to the X5 and became Wear Xpress 1 hour and 30 minutes the journey time took the X5 was renumbered to the 55 and going only as far as Wingate no longer serving Hartlepool
Should 100% come back again with the fans

Scotland.
Seen Hartlepool United against us
( Carlisle United ) the season
Hartlepool United went down in
The Cumberland Derby.
I remember Hartlepool fans getting a police escort from The Station to Brunton Park & back
It's certainly a fairly fearsome rivalry we have with them.
Hopefully we can meet
Hartlepool United again
in the next few seasons so we can help send them straight back down again.
Honestly think
K.R.C. Genk of Belgium
De Smurfen ( The Smurfs) &
Crewe Alexandra
The Railwaymen have the best nicknames in football but Cowdenbeath The Blue Brazil have to be right up there aswell.
Hopefully you had as good a Christmas as possible Sam.
Thanks alan they're great nicknames too! Hope you had a good xmas!
@@FootyAdventures
As best a Christmas as was possible.
Up the pool's 👍
@@michaelmalone3089 🙌🔥
Are you allowed to be there? I’m not sure I heard you mention it!!! ;-)
😂🙊
You missed the most important piece of Hartlepool footballing history - they were the first club the great Brian Clough ever managed.
Also, I see they have a Cyril Knowles stand - the young 'uns below wont know this but Cyril was one of the most remarkable personalities of the late 60's to mid 70's when he played for Spurs. I assume he got the stand named after him because he died while he was managing them, as he never played for them.
I know, I can't believe I missed that out!
Once the Northern League starts up again you must come down to Thornaby FC and visit us on Teesside
Definitely 😁
@@FootyAdventures i will drop you a message once we know whats happening!
HUCK HOOGAN FACK YOUU!
The Pool, it's Pools...The Club were once called Hartlepools United which is where the nickname comes from
Are you watching the Liverpool game today ⚽️⚽️⚽️🏴🏴🏴
Yes I'll be watching later! Hopefully Mane scores as he's my fantasy captain this week!
@@FootyAdventures hopefully Liverpool can get the job done . Hopefully mane can score for you ⚽️⚽️⚽️🎫🎫🎫

Another great video with quality production!👍 you should check out our new MAN CITY random player challenge video to see how many you get right, it’s for true football fans only!
You do not stay in Scotland now
I wonder how much the players in this league can earn
Hey Footy Adventures maybe you can show us the earnings of footballers in the lower leagues in England

Hung a monkey?! Wtf
You should do more research on the current players and teams. Poor commentary during the game and constant repetition. Not one of your better ones and I enjoyed lots of them and give a like when I do.
Boo Scotland is the place for football none of this English ribbish
They’ve still got the stadium announcer!! Brilliant. Now we know why they hung a monkey! A bit thick or what!!
Get rid of those embarrassing drums. We are British. Not Italian or Spanish.
