A Lovebites Masterclass, right there. Who else would mix grand piano, acoustic guitar and ballet with snowfall in a metal composition? Unrivalled artistry.
A couple of things worth mentioning: - Asami trained as a ballerina for years. As is evident here. 🙂 - Miyako (guitar/piano) was in the second trimester of her pregnancy during this performance.
A couple of things to note about this performance It is from 2021 and was under strict Covid regulations. The audience was limited to 50% capacity with mandatory masks and no shouting or cheering only applause. Miyako, the black haired guitarist/pianist, is several months pregnant. The only concession she made for a 2 hour long concert was to wear flat shoes instead of the usual high heels. The next song in the playlist for this concert was Swan Song, which should be next on your play list IMO, I recommend going for the version with the Chopin introduction played by Miyako.
Such an incredibly composed song. Nothing more metal than Miyako jumping on the piano with her guitar strapped to her chest (while 4-5 mos pregnant) & jumping back up to shred with Midori.
is there another band out there that could pull this off ? nope. ALL of the varied talents of them come through in this - there is no other band that i would love to see live more than LOVEBITES. i've seen so many great concerts over the years and up to this point my favorite was ELTON JOHN at foxboro stadium in massachusetts on july 4th 1976 - our country's 200th birthday bicentennial celebration. a 3 hour concert that was epic beyond belief. but i am sure that LOVEBITES would eclipse that. on their next visit to the states i pray they will come to the northeast. then i can pass on knowing i've seen the best.
I seriously thought, when I saw the song , that I was going to see some little tears run down your face before the end of the piano solo. Good reaction. Be warned for when you react to any LOVEBITES song whose title begins with 'E': that 'E' is for Emotion.
Great reaction! Welcome to the glorious world of LOVEBITES. You will never be disappointed watching their music and live videos. This is one of many masterpieces played for the 2 hour concert video Heavy Metal Never Dies. I suggest you start at the beginning of their musical journey with the song Don't Bite the Dust from their first EP and album Awakening From Abyss. It was their first music video I watched. Their first live music I watched is Holy War. A great original heavy metal video that converted me into a follower. I'm very happy I discovered them. Peace and LOVEBITES! 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
I know you are dealing with heart failure, so I want to share something relevant. I had heart surgery two years ago, and my recovery took some bad turns. The only thing that got me through it was music, and this particular performance most of all. It gave me hope when things looked really dark. Thanks for checking it out.
Asami (vocals) was actually the last member to join the band. The other four knew they were set, but needed a lead vocalist. Miyako was the one who insisted it had to be Asami, who had never sung metal before. Genius.
Jump on into the next masterpieces Swan Song +Chopin intro then follow up with the Lovebites "E" songs Edge of the World, Empty Daydream, and Epilogue pure awesomeness and like no other band has displayed only Lovebites. Lovebites Rules
I have no doubt that "A FROZEN SERENADE" in this live performance is an A-class performance of theirs. I recommend the following three other A-class live performances (from relatively recent live performances): * LOVEBITES / Nameless Warrior [Official Live Video taken from "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate"] * LOVEBITES / Soldier Stands Solitarily [Official Live Video taken from "Memorial For The Warrior Souls"] * LOVEBITES / We The United [Official Live Video taken from "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate - Part II"] ---------- from Nippon *This text was translated using Google Translate. I hope I have conveyed the correct meaning.
I am sure that every member of the wolfpack that saw that this was the song for this reaction was anxiously waiting to see your reaction when Miyako switched to the piano, Asami started dancing across the stage, and then Midori starts with the classical guitar. This song hits pretty much everyone with an earth-shattering blast to our very core! 😍
The greatest. They're my favorite band in the world, and of all time, and I'd argue the best metal band on the planet, and maybe even also of all time. This song right here belongs in a museum. Performed live, like you, I'd say it's the greatest thing I've seen done live (I haven't seen this one live, even though I am lucky enough to have seen them twice). It's beautiful. Truly a masterpiece. There's other songs I love by them when I want something harder, but personally, I place this one in a class all its own. If I was to bookend it, I think I'd place SSS on the other end.
LOVEBITES - A Frozen Serenade lyrics & credits: Crystal tears Falling from the skies Veiling fears The emptiness inside Time is just passing by Killing me under the soft twilight A frozen melody Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy A distant memory If only this snow could erase the pain I'd wake up in a serenade One life ends And one life begins Evanesce To our origins When I'm lost on my way Lead my heart and guide me with your grace A frozen melody Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy A distant memory If only this snow could erase the pain I'd wake up in a serenade Just like a dream, just like a bird I'll keep on singing out Even if my voice cannot reach you Seasons may pass, but its beauty will never fade away All living things are precious and irreplaceable Just like a dream, just like a bird I'll keep on singing out Even if my voice cannot reach you White butterflies are fluttering under the silver sky If only I could wish to see you once more ----- lyrics: asami music: asami & Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) & Mao album: Electric Pentagram 01/29/2020 -----
I suggest you some less known but amazing songs of Lovebites: "Today is the day", "Signs of deliverance" and "Empty daydream". In these songs you can listen to the most wild and insane guitar solo by Miyako and Midori and a phenomenal drums work by Haruna......
My all time favorite LBs track - a masterclass in song writing, a mini-symphony in 3-parts. The middle section is just beautiful and musically impossible to top. And be sure to catch Asami’s expression on the last line… 🤘🎸🐺
Good reaction, thanks. Swan song definitely. Use only this video ua-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/v-deo.htmlsi=kowJQkAkmi4Qguyz not from their channel. Cuz have best audio mix and have CC (please turn it on, amazing lyrics) and have piano intro included, unlike others.

As others have said - " Swan Song " with the Chopin intro ( someone has put the best link in their comment ) followed by the 3 " E " songs - " Epilogue " - " Edge of the World " - " Empty Daydream " . All 4 songs are unforgettable performances in their own right and show exactly why Lovebites are several levels above any other band on the planet ! ENJOY !
This particular song has made it onto my classic play list which goes way back in time. The Goddess's of metal know how to write great music & lyrics I thank God for Lovebites awesome band. Regards Wolfpack 🐺 UK 🤘🎸🥁🎤🎹🎶🔥🤯🤘
Yup this is a top 3 Lovebites song. In fact, I think I am going to move it to number 2 ahead of Judgment Day now due to its uniqueness in the Lovebites catalog. The only song I like more is Soldier Stands Solitarily because SSS is one of the best heavy metal tracks of all time IMO.
Another hands down once in a life time performance actually I can think of 3 Swan Song with Chopin Intro/Epica Kingdom of Heaven Part 3 Omega Alive/Joe Bonamassa & Beth Hart I'd Rather go Blind Live in Amsterdam/Beth Hart Am I The One live at Paradiso all these give me goosebumps especially Beth Hart singing

If you liked "Frozen Serenade" you should check out Lovebites live video of "Swan Song" with the Chopin intro.
I support this recommendation - now he's ready for it I guess . . . .
@@kgspollux6998yes please do!
Also the new revision of this song is good too.
Because the album Electric Pentagram came out in winter, Asami wanted a sad winter ballad. 🤘

LOVEBITES - A Frozen Serenade lyrics & credits:
Crystal tears Falling from the skies
Veiling fears The emptiness inside
Time is just passing by
Killing me under the soft twilight
A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
One life ends
And one life begins
Evanesce
To our origins
When I'm lost on my way
Lead my heart and guide me with your grace
A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
Seasons may pass, but its beauty will never fade away
All living things are precious and irreplaceable
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
White butterflies are fluttering under the silver sky
If only I could wish to see you once more
