I can't describe how great this event is at getting people into running. I think the distance/course is challenging but achieveable. So many of my friends and family have started running because of this event. Thanks for making this video!

Great vid mate, really enjoyed it. Headed to C2S for the first time this year and ran with a few Sydney based friends. You're right about how mind blowing it is to think about 90,000 people participating in a fun run. Sometimes Australia really earns it's reputation as beer sports island. Cheers from Melbourne.

Rip to the invaluable wisdom clips! I did it for the first time this year and reckon I must've run closer to 20kms with the amount of people dodging I was doing. Was still super fun and I'm glad I did it! Congrats on still running such a sick time even when you're dialling it back

Man I watched your last years city2surf before I ran this year, never ran in my life apart from footy, start of the year I was 134kgs and i know it’s a fun run but I wanted to show some dedication to this run so I got down to 116kgs and ran it by myself for myself, but i love your videos and it’s helped me a lot, thank you !!

Loved your video. City 2 Surf is always my fav run on the calendar. Good luck with the Sydney Marathon. I felt your pain when you said your prep had been a joke, mine has too 😅 Had a injury pre city 2 surf (dodgy achilles), which required a 1 & half week recovery & then post city 2 surf ive been hit with a cold that has taken another block of time out. I’ve now just reset my goals for the Sydney Marathon with the aim to get to the start line & enjoy the day.

Thanks for trying to capture the event from tthe inside . I got caught at the finish in a log jam for 5 mins or so . I went with the blue start but would have been a finisher around 10.30 am . Except for that log jam at the finish the organisation etc was spot on . Big thanks to the IT crew for the app and timing splits . I was in the 75 to 79 category so always interested in age adjusted times like in Park Runs . See you in 2025 . This fun run i think is best done as part of a team ,work group , club member , charity etc with a party organised post event . A 14 k fun run !

I wonder if they'll manage that slightly differently next year... no worries for the folks that aren't stressing about their time at least. @@felixoates yeah I was in the pink wave last year, this year I got into the red wave by sending them a 10km result, it was good because I heard people in later waves got stuck for 10 min a 100 metres away from the finish line. I finished it in 1:11:10, 5 min faster than last year, happy with that for now ☺️
