- Only 7 people have ever run under 7 hours along the Bondi to Manly Ultra Race Course. Will I be able to join the Sub 7 hour club?

One of the best comments I've seen recently hahaha
First day in Japan and he’s already churning out the videos
Heck yes
You are the definition of inspirational dude!
Could not have picked worse conditions - pouring rain, starting in the pitch black... and managed to get it done in 6hr 34!
You're amazing bro!
Appreciate it man!
Let’s go mate. Awesome video, editing taken to the next level.
Great to see the run from your perspective.
Will is a trooper. Props to him
Thanks for running with me though, it made the middle section go by quicker for sure
Everyone: ill run with you to help with video and nutrition what pace will you be doing?
Sota: low 4s
Everyone: 💀 ⚰
man’s gunning for 1st place at the actual B2M :)
Nah realistically I think I can only get 3rd
@@SotaMaeharayou will win
Omg haha you run past me, didn’t even see you cause the rain and I also had to take off my glasses. I am the black shirt at 10:09
what an insane accomplishment! so glad this showed up on my page, such a cool watch. congratulations again, super inspiring!
Just entered my UA-cam studio to find this lovely comment was left a minute ago. Thanks so much Alana! Have an awesome week
Incredible effort Sota and team. Well done!
All the best for the recovery.
Thank you so much!
Love the ending, what a great group you have. Well done Sota an unbelievable effort!
I love my team
Wow! I really enjoyed watching this video! Thank you Sota
No probs! Thanks for watching
What a beautiful run! Those harbour trails. Well done mate. Huge
My favourite route! Thanks so much!
Your support crew is so wholesome!
In ideal world, what would you have done to prevent the injury?
Because I had very little time to get into this shape because of a prior injury (which was the same thing on the other leg), I had to do some aggressive training (quick build up, lot's of threshold and elevation to get to this stage, and doing this 80k was the icing on the cake to flare up the injury properly
Next time I'd be more conservative with the training. And also, I think I just need a couple more years of improving in the 5 and 10k in order to become a good ultramarathoner
Congrats Sota! That was an outstanding effort last week!
Thank you Grigory!
Solid run thanks so much for uploading. I think i've done every bit of the route but never in my wildest imagination could I attempt it in one go. Great footage and really cool to see it from your perspective. In a way the rain helped you avoid some pretty serious crowds especially near Shelley Beach. Could've watched the whole 7 hours if i'm honest. Subscribed
That's true, I was thinking that, the rain must've kept a few people away! I think the production quality of my vids will only get better moving forward, and hopefully we'll have some more epic camera angles and shots! But this was nice as well, it was authentic, raw and in the action
Hey Sota-san! Love the content. Randomly stumbled across your UA-cam channel after it popped up on my home page recommendations. I'm the guy that bought the couple of Japanese baseball hats from you - didn't know what an epic runner you were! Have just subscribed and looking forward to your future videos!

I've never tried contact lenses before, they seem scary, but maybe I have to

Do you go to a gym in the inner west of Sydney by any chance??? 😅😅😅
I don't actually! I live in Mosman and barely ever go more west then Central station haha
I thought I saw you yesterday. 😅😅😅
@@SotaMaehara actually I saw someone a lot like you, wearing the same tshirt you have on this video thumbnail. 😃
@@NoobTube4148 Haha, defs not me as I'm in Japan right now!
Sota > Toski
Who's Toski haha? Am I missing out on something
What’s the furthest you’ve ever raw dogged?
What counts as a raw dog? Do you have to be solo? I never listen to music so if that's the only factor, I've rawdogged all my runs, and my longest run is 137km
@@SotaMaehara what about the furthest you’ve gone with no music, food or water?
@@markdover3825 I've done about 4 or 5 runs that are 35 to 39km with no food/water/gels/water
@@SotaMaehara Haha that’s pretty cool
Bondi to Manly ain’t 80km it more like 10 -30
