Little tip old chap - I’ve been there and done it in terms of country road blowouts, one thing you really need to be doing is keeping both hands on the wheel. You’re doing 60mph plus and with only one hand on the wheel, you have little control if you catch a patch of oil or a pothole. The first you’ll know about it is the wheel snatching out of your hand. Drive safely mate.
Im thinking of getting this for my first car next year, I can drive currently just need to get my license and everything done. Is this a good first car also i need the money for it but its not too expensive
@@thomaskennedy9669 Opel was grom GM (General Motors) In England they have Vauxhall Astra In Europe (german) they have Opel Astra In Australian and New sealand they have Holden Astra And in America they have Saturn Astra and Chevrolet Astra
Half way through your speedometer so you're somewhere around 60-70mph....videos from Europe always seem so fast on those right roads, seems like you're going a lot faster then you actually are.....70mph on a US road feels like a crawl !
g00dl00kinb0i Our country roads generally have the national speed limit of 60 mph and rarely a speed camera. I suppose most of your American roads are just straight so 60 would be slow
Haha, speed limits dip below 60mph quite often. As to roads I really think it's the fact EU roads are very narrow. Most US roads are pretty straight but you can find twisty roads too, there's a twisty high-speed parkway right where I live 👍
Yeah I have a 1.6 sxi and it's definitely got quite heavy steering, My auntie has a wrist issue and had to swap her astra for a 1.0 Corsa steering is feather light in them
And on watching it again and listening more closely, I can hear he isnt even bothering to let go of the accelerator as he is changing gears. Rip clutch disc.
Typical Englishman drives slower than a turtle, and imagines that he is fast in this country so full. daily confronted with these eagles. so I went to Central Europe as well and stay seated machine, is afraid of the local movements of the instructor level here is very low ...

My first turbo'd car. Was great fun with the sport button on
Good vid! No stopping u around those corners
The uk does have some nice roads tbh
Great run!
wow. never thought I'd see an astra be too powerful for someone hahahaha
How was it too powerful for him?
Your arse would be putting too there quick and dreadfully unstable driving with one hand on wheel is not a very good idea at all like
Pistol Pete how can u change gear with no hands 🤦♂️

🇬🇧 all the way!!!
Engine actually sounds good ngl
Is this 1.4 litres or 1.6 litres?
What engine size is this astra?
No doubt will be my first car
Same in black this cars very good cheap insurance
What engine is in the astra?
Assuming the spec level that it has, 117 bhp 1.6 litre 16v direct fuel injection.
FireHawk Gaming 🤣🤣
@@FireHawkGaming its too quick for the 1.6 its a 1.8 the 2.0 have a 6 speed gearbox as far as i know so its most probably the 1.8
Not the 1.8, it seems to struggle to rev to the redline, I think this is the 1.4 or 1.6
Try not to rest your hand on the gear as it puts pressure underneath and can damage it really badly
Nonce
What a sound 0:57

M8 or M7 I think. Stanley to Metrocentre

1.8vvt 140bhp sri as it has a sport button the 1.6 dose not come with the sport button

slow fun car > too much power
Gearbox won’t last using that method
What was wrong with the method if you don't mind me asking?
(I'm still young and confused about driving)
Nah, Astras are made to be ragged a bit. Over active cooling systems.
And on watching it again and listening more closely, I can hear he isnt even bothering to let go of the accelerator as he is changing gears. Rip clutch disc.
Pointless, I can shift faster and still don't feel the need to no-lift clutch.
they do need a bit of a heavy hand ill be honest
Shit
You’re spending too long in lower gear, especially gear 1&2
Poor driving skill and attitude plus were you even wearing your seat belt??

the guy/gal coming to the T junction flashed a death skull...
@FireHawk Gaming
They are easily switched off with diagnostic gear...which by now you prob know ;-)
too fast for these country roads mate they can be real shitholes for traffic coming the other way or hitting a pothole etc.
Horrific driving, no skill at all!!

English translation:
"Unwarranted xenophobia...

To be fair, most people drive too fast in England. But you still get a few that drive unnecessarily slow.
