I'm just starting the leca. And I want to transfer my birkin and to look and I had to see somebody do it so I'm getting ready to do as soon as I finish watching this and I'll watch some of your videos thank you very much. Mama Long Greenville Tx 🙏🏾
You "talking" to your LECA saying "oh shut up.. SHUT UP" reminds me of Eddie Brock admonishing the Venom Symbiote to "oh shut up.. SHUT UP" during some specific scenes (sorry, just watched the most recent venom yesterday, so that's what cropped up into my mind) In other news - I picked up a nice new monstera yesterday from the supermarket, and imma repot it into LECA tomorrow - and your videos are the inspiration. Oh btw, I gave the video a thumbs up .. just saying. Should I do it twice? :P
@@aprilbrooks Sure thing - will share with you on IG. One quick question I had as I was moving the Monstera from the pot it came in from the store - its roots were VERY well root bound to the coco coir substrate that the monstera had likely been propagated in. I tried to remove as much of the coco coir as I could, but I realized I was tearing and pulling apart / out a lot of the delicate root system the Monstera had put out. Eventually, I left the root system be (there must be about 40% remaining coco coir the roots have entangled themselves in), and just filled the pot with LECA pebbles below, along the sides, and up top, covering the Monstera. Is it bad I could not remove all of the coco-coir? Or is it okay? I really hope I have not damaged the root system a lot 🥺 These were the kind of actual repotting videos I requested you to make (in another video), as I tried searching for it on the yootoobes, but couldn't find anything specific that went into the actual process PS - I found an amazing see-through jar for housing plants in LECA - glass/plastic wine coolers - like these: carousell[dot]sg/p/daiso-plastic-wine-chiller-1087664904 (replace the [dot] with a .. er .. '.' symbol to view the web page). That one, goes VERY nicely in these dust bowls - shop[dot]daisosingapore[dot]com[dot]sg/products/dust-box-7-9in-20cm, so you can lift the wine cooler to view the water level and roots development, and top-off / refill adjust as necessary. Perhaps you also found similar ones where you live.
Leca is new to me.....watching sooooo many youtubes with many opinions....the simplicity of yours make make confident i can do this

Ok so we’re not drilling holes anymore? Lemme delete these bits from my cart! I was dreading unpotting to drill them.
I honestly just haven’t seen a difference between my pots with holes vs no hole. I guess it would make it harder to flush? But I rarely do that 🤭🤣
Where do you buy your jars from?
Walmart, Dollar tree & Micheals! 🤗
what nutrient water do you use?
Dyna gro foliage pro 🤗
I hate those darn plugs. I’d love to see how your barking is doing now. I have one that I want to transfer to leca.
Why do u wear gloves?
Scared of the buggies in the soil 💀
@@aprilbrooks 🤣😂😩 Gotcha, thanks for the reply and the video ☺️
