Great video! I saw a video of a girl with the same problem & trying to do what you did, but by herself. It wasn’t going well at all. I felt so sorry for her. Sure wish she’d had this video to teach her what to do. This should help many faced with this dilemma. Recently, someone in my neighborhood had a swarm in their backyard. I quickly told her to find a local beekeeper or bee association & they would come catch them. Gotta save our bees! Love & Hugs!

Nice job. The only thing you did mention and you did it right is you want to make sure you put the comb in the frames the same way it hangs in the hive. Not up side down. Thank for sharing and great video work.

I am thinking that if honey started running out of the honeycomb then that would have caused a problem for the bees, so keeping it all together and then the bees were quite happy. Well done and thank you for sharing that situation and how beekeepers can deal with it.

Definitely not an ideal situation but the correct way to handle it for sure. Excellent video and advice for the new Bee Keeper thanks for sharing.

You need a bee brush you rolling beers with your hand that kills them! Just like when you put the last frame back into the hive. But I have done it to always lessons to learn. Great job!!!

Thank you soooo much. I am a woman and had this happen. I left comb until I could figure out what to do. I thought of frames with wire around comb but love rubberbands better. Thanks again.

Is there an advantage to not shacking the bees from the comb as you put it into frames? Very cool video.

I got some swifter pads to protect from beetles and I called them coral towels!!! Cause they corral the beetles into the fibers!. Lol tell me what you think...

Something I've noticed.... When frames are added to the box for the bees to build comb or brood, they're squared off with the front and sides of the hive. Like folders in a file cabinet. OK? However, when rescuing a wild hive from an old building, the comb almost always runs diagonally, from corner-to-corner. They can fill in a large section of house frames, and the hive comb is dense and angular, going from a narrow 2 inch comb to a large 6-10 inch comb....like notes on a keyboard, or something similar. It seems like that is their natural preference. Do you know why their natural inclination is angular comb within the hive, and are their hives humans can construct to allow for their natural behavior?

Bees are totally amazing! They'll clean up all the broken comb in a couple of weeks, just like new! Good job, well done!

That is one massive bee comb!!! It also looks delicious, just wanna bite a chunk out of it :D When you harvest the honey, do you just take the frames out, clear it of bees and then just take out the honeycomb and harvest the honey from it? Is that how it works? Could you please make a video on the honey making process? It's different to read about it and actually watch it done in real life.

I found a natural hive 5 plus years old. Should I try to contain them or leave them alone? It is not in a tree, it is in an unused building. I would like your opinion.

She actually looked young. Weak. I moved her to a recent split hive. She went in. I will go in after temp warms up and sunny day. Hopefully tomorrow. I can do your rubber band trick to in same hive.
