My wife caught me watching your video, she asked me, "Do you wish that you have a good looking girl in your bee yard?" I said yes, So I bought her a bee suit. Now I have a good looking girl in my bee yard.🤭😂. I've always insisted she help me with my bees, but she was reluctant, thanks for encouraging her.

It's so nice to find YOU here as so many mentors in beekeeping are older men (who are wonderful, too) and feel represented!

Early swarms in UK here. I caught my first swarm in my trap 2 days ago. In March here I add two foundation either side of brood box to let them be occupied, in April- beginning of May I add drawn comb for queen to lay in as she is normally out of room by then. I use the taken frames to feed nucs or make up some nucs, this gets me to honey flow with no swarming.
Anyone feeding pollen patties here can say bye bye to there bees lol, build up fast.
Loved the video, lots of bees 😍

I had an experience I wished I had 4 hands for. I was doing an inspection on one of my colonies. Tilted back the top brood box on one that just swarmed and pulled out a queen cell. 2 seconds later the queen emerged in my hand. She came out the back side when it opened when I pulled it out.
Most cool thing I've ever seen/done in beekeeping.

Adult bees , are the bees who fly rapidly . Constantly in the air swarming ( together flying) . Always using the scent to stay in a circle to STAY together .If some separate it's as if their nest has been torn down! Bees who fly have a nest( honeycomb) vacant , but they have 1! ! 3 ✨

Neat trick! I'll have to remember that the next time I have a hive try to swarm on me.

Interesting stuff. Do you think you had the original queen plus a virgin queen? To me that makes most sense I think. Swarm gets ready to go with original queen but in the meantime one or more queen cells hatch and one or more of the virgins goes with the swarm. They'd have to have hatched a couple of days previously though to be able to fly with the swarm. it's food for thought for sure. Thanks for a brilliant video!

Me and my boyfriend walked out of our house right into a swarm , luckily I noticed befor we got to far out of the house he was so scared we were gonna get attacked, I told him they were definitely swarming to find a new home and sure enough the made a new home in the tree behind our apartment, I think the tree is hollow lol it was so amazing to see there was thousands of bees, it was beautiful, its because of you and you channel I have a new appreciation for the bugs in my garden and around my house, please keep doing what your doing and spreading awareness 🥰🥰❤❤

Was so fascinating watching you collect those 2 queens and at the same time sharing what you were doing and to stay calm. Could hear the excitement, but you stayed calm. With all those bees, I can't imagine being able to spot a particular 1.
I have a question. With all the other hives that you have, another hive that gets ready to swarm doesn't affect them. Thanks for sharing this and may you and your family have a blessed week.

The easiest thing you can do is just get bees and go for it! If you wait until you think you know all you need to know, you’ll never get bees! And although reading and watching YT absolutely helps there is nothing like getting bees and just working them! Good luck I hope you get some soon! You’ll never regret it, until you are wondering “so I pay the mortgage, or so I get more bees or equipment!!” JK but sometimes you will wonder where all your money went!

Congratulations! Glad you got them and on video too. Curious if you have ever had issues with keeping cardboard nuc boxes out in rain. I'm picking up two nucs tomorrow and unfortunately it looks like rain all day.
