Honestly, as amusing as Elizabeth usually is, the way she treats Theo in most of their interactions and him begrudgingly tolerating it due to not knowing any better always rubs me the wrong way.
Am I the only person who's bothered by this? By her 'punching down' and Theo just being expected to take it because 'rule-of-funny'?
In PQ and P4 Arena Ultimax, Margaret does the same to him. He's just an innocent, mistreated youngest sibling.

He just happen to be male Velvet room assistant and they treat him like garbage kinda like how most guy in series treated by trash by female except MC, that kinda problem i have with persona
Persona definitely does has this problem with picking a male character and having him be the butt of the joke regardless if it was deserved or not. Ryuji from P5 is a pretty good example. In most promotional media, all the characters are shown off as really cool, but in Japanese boxarts and such he's shown being beaten around like a doofus cuz he isn't the smartest guy out of the crew. It gets to a point where it just feels out of taste and mean spirited
@@pluna3382 I absolutly agree, though this often comes across even worse.
Ryuji (plus Yosuke and Junpei for that matter) sometimes do meanspirited or shortsighted stuff to accrue a small karma debt, and some of the jokes at their expense are harmlessly tongue-in-cheek with the 'victim' giving as good as he gets back to his peers.
It sucks to see this trope be as overdone and unearned as often as it is, but in their cases, it at least works SOME of the time.
I can't even make that defence for Theodore; he NEVER never does anything to merit this, Elizabeth NEVER faces any comeuppance for it, and it's made really disturbing by him not even understanding that he's being manipulated or taken advantage of.
Ugh, rant over, this trope consistently sucks and nowhere more than with Elizabeth, she's badly overdue for a Change of Heart.
