Sorry dear, just seeing this question. Is very easy to put band. Cut about 2" in width and the total skirt waist plus two inches as the length of the band. I hope I answered your question and if not let me understand what you mean by the band for the skirt.

Thanks for the video ma,had more knowledge on skirt cutting, but pls u mean for someone with big tummy no need of dart even when using the exact way of cutting u do here and the 0.5 u took down on the front bodice is it for someone with tummy too or its just basis of cutting for every one

Hi abiona. Thank you for visiting and watching the tutorial. For the question of dart. It can work for everyone one with or without a tummy, all that does for you is to reduce wrinkles on the front skirt. Then for the 0.5 also works for everyone, for people with pick tummy I do 1" to 1.5"depending on the client. I hope this helps.

Yes! Dart is not really necessary for the front skirt. Especially for those with tummy, so as to prevent wrinkles at the side for a very fitted skirt. For flat tummy clients you may add dart or just do without dart. The may reason is for smooth front. My method thou!
