15:52: Ah yes, the old Amish flypaper trick. I've seen plenty of that in my life --- and it works just like those kerosene stoves I mentioned earlier. My father's parents did that all the time in their house, especially the kitchen. That yellow flypaper could get absolutely covered with dead flies.
The Amish where I live do not garden like this. Took two years to talk them into composting. They DO use chemicals. Had never heard of neem oil or diatomaceous earth. Some have two gardens, one for themselves and one to sell to the English (you). My husband stopped and bought some plants from one of them and they were covered with aphids and were not productive. Where did you get this information??? I'm sure there are Amish farmers somewhere that utilize these peemaculture principles but it's not the norm in my area.
I have never seen an Amish farm on Lancaster, Pennsylvania use chemicals, sprays or big machinery to spray their whole fields. They always sold heirloom food....not GMO. Their skin looks pure and smooth. They are doing something right.!
Depends on how much money they have as well as the local rules and customs. And yes, they will save the best of everything for themselves and cut any corners that make sense for what they produce for "the English".
Doing so much to the soil is actually counter productive for the growth of strong plants. AND....little known fact only some plants flourish in compost, others flourish in compacted soil. Roots like potatoes and yams do excellent in dark compact soil.
Depending on the Amish sect some DO use electricity; drive cars & trucks; buy & resell power tools; run retail businesses, & manufacturing. Near here they manufacture standing seam steel roof panels; deliver the finished products on their own trucks n trailers & install on housing roofs
I tried so many things on my big beautiful cucumber leaves that were beginning to develop 2 inch cucumbers. It took a couple of weeks to suck everything dry. 😢

@deed6759 guess they are all different
This is an A.l./C.G.l. Generated video. The voice alone is a dead giveaway.
Yup! And that's why this adm went after them. I'm glad they stood firm. We need our farmers and a place to get REAL ORGANIC FOOD!@@deed6759

Menonites perhaps, but not real old school Amish.
It's so normal to see someone who claims their Christianity, yet judges eveyone...lol hypocrisy at its finest

I've understood that Amish people have their Big diferences too dooby doo.😊
Says he's only ever going to promote one book, then immediately procedes to promote a second!!!!!
Well I never thought even the Amish could be corrupted😢
Money corrupt even the best people !
The guy in your thumbnail looks more like a boomer hippie than the Amish I see. The men usually have a beard but no mustache, like Abe Lincoln.
SOME AMISH USE ROUND UP ON THE CROPS THAT THEY SELL TO PUBLIC AND SOME ARE TRUE ORGANIC. One needs to ask questions what they use for weeds and more
deer?
Interesting but the word 'themselfs'...... engrish prease!
