- Directed and edited by Marcus Howard. Pat McManus gives a fascinating interview about his journey into the blues and his evolution from Mama's Boys into The Pat McManus Band. This master performer dazzles with live footage from Ballyshannon, Warrenpoint and Belfast blues festivals. Not only a master of guitar and traditional fiddle but also a composer of iconic blues rock music. He makes compelling connections between traditional Irish music and blues music. Additional footage from Dave Swift, Chris Horner and Fiona Campbell. Special thanks to Ben Dunne.
Thanks so much marcus
What a guitarist and awesome fiddle player too and a very nice guy
Thank you so much, Marcus. I love Pat McManus but did not know much about him. It was wonderful listening to his interview about his background, his influences and how he got started. Great concert shots at Ballyshannon. Your documentaries are amazing - keep them coming. 🥰🥰
Good stuff Marcus!!!
Thanks!!

The Professor!!! I was just listening to my MaMa's Boys Tape with Lonely Soul on it!!
Me and two buddies did Lonely Soul for our College talent show without vocals, just as an instrumental back in 1988.
Everybody thought it was our own song; we had to tell them about MaMa's Boy's and how I got the tape and my friend that played guitar just loved that song and him and the bass player wanted to do it as a instrumental for the talent show.
Boys for Ireland influencing boys from Hibbing, Minnesota way back in the day!!
Yeah I do mean That Hibbing, Minnesota, where Bob Dylan grew up too.
Could listen to Pat all day, exceptional soul rousing talent and an exceptional documentary which made my day, pure class 🎸😀👏
