Soham Community Dig: In the Footsteps of St Felix

‘It’s just so satisfying.’ One of the Soham Village College students explains what it feels like to take part in a dig. Led by our community engagement specialists, this special project included digging test pits and identifying finds to photograph, scan and put through environmental flotation. It was a chance to find out more about different career opportunities as well as learning new skills, building confidence and teamwork. At the very least it gets them outside and away from the video games. Maybe if we're lucky it will get them to appreciate learning about their history and how important it is to preserve it.
