I have loved Godsmack since the first tune this dude turned me on to which was "Voodoo" This band has a a tune for everything I am going through, have been through and for every feeling I experience. Like very few vanda TODAY, GODSMACK US WITHOUT A DOUBT "ABOUT THE MUSIC" AS WELL AS THE FANS. I had uncles not much older than myself so my first bands were Alice Cooper, Zeppelin, Skynyrd, Nugent, Bad Company etc etc. But the first band I discovered on my own in 78 was KISS. LOVED THEM, THE theatrics etc. by the time they each put out their solo albums it was a wrap. Honestly, Ace had the best solo. So I grew outta them real quick while staying true to the rock legends my uncles introduced me to. True - Gene is a money maker, BUT I learned early on he is NOT about the music or fans. My apologies to any due hard KISS fans, but this is my opinion. Gene had branded everything from action figures, pencils and lunch boxes to men's boxers. Yea outgrew thew very quickly. Not only that but bands today are also lip syncing and using backing tracks smh. Damn these bands are human mistakes are made. A good example is Alice in Chains - MTV UNPLUGGED when Layne Staley f'd up on "Sludge Factory ", it didn't mess up the show in fact I think it just showed these guys are human not to mention A TRUE ROCK BAND! Jerry gave Layne a smile like "it's cool man" made a joke and went on with the show. And an awesome show it was. My fav band next to Godsmack. I know I got off track and am babbling it's just that I feel there aren't many bands that are true to the music let alone their fans. That's a real kick in the face since we ay AT LEAST $300 - $400 for decent seats that are advertised for $50-$100. I saw Godsmack August 2023 at Darien Lake Amphitheater about 40 minutes outside Buffalo NY if course they ROCKED IT as always. Hope I can catch them again this summer/Fall.
My faves are also Alice In Chains and Godsmack!! I know exactly what you are saying. Saw them last May and the absolute best show I’ve ever been to! Rock on!🤘🏻
Just seen him in St Pete. I go to a store in town today and I find a metal sign with the lyrics to Under Your scars. It is a little larger than a sheet of paper. A tree on top and the lyrics written in a heart shape. Music notes in the background. Holes in the corners to put it up. ❤

Damn from 1999 to now this song and album explains my life and truth remembers how my ex did to me and cheating and then ended up pregnant stupid I was I believe her although in the end she pulled the keeping her away as I learn she was sleeping with high school students as she was a nurse at my school I went to I found out after fighting for 2 yrs 6 month divorce custody battle , and what she did well this song explains it all

I’m a former touring musician…did it for many years, even opened for Godsmack years back…and I can tell ya, recording the songs is great…but the unscripted stuff is really the gold! Stuff that may never be repeated…you caught lightning in a bottle here!!

Every TOP Rock Band has had/done POWER BALLADS, and they're called that for a reason. And I think if you don't have 1 or 2, shows your hiding real life feelings. Do I think bands should be 50% or more, gawd no, but they HAVE a Place in a Bands Journey.
