I once heard a Boston standup comedian break into this song, but tweaked it slightly. It went: "You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your lips. You lost your eyelids baby, oh your eyelids baby..." He also did another song that I see that you have reviewed, and it changed Downtown into Ground Round, which is a chain in New England. He also did a very excellent Andy Rooney. "Ever brush your teeth then drink orange juice. Ewwww. Or sit on your keys?" Weird the stuff you remember. That was in the '80s.
Welcome Back! I believe the faster version was on the Bob Hope show. I prefer this version. The Dynamic Duo never disappoints! Had many great songs. Soul and Inspiration Ebb Tide For once in my life. They were on fire doing Night Time is the Right Time and Little Latin Lupe Lu. Bill Medley is now 81, deep voice still performing tho with Bucky Heard. Sadly Bobby Hatfield passed in 2003. His version of Unchained Melody is my favorite! Hope u continue doing reactions, sure enjoy
You’re probably thinking of the Hall & Oates version. That’s the only other version besides this one that I can think of. Their version is good, but it has nothing on the original in my opinion. This was a 10/10 for me. Amazing song with the Wall of Sound and everything.
'Wall of Sound' magnificence. Gold Star Recording Studios - Hollywood
Just them!
